Her own parents had spoke to her about all of these things, but it had seemed like tall tales until she was faced with it herself. She questioned a lot of what her parents had told her all these years and kicked herself for all the times she rebelled against the things they tried to teach her. Some things were worth it, while others lingered in her head. Risa and Kyran's words resonated as she let out a heavy sigh, it was true that some people were so developed in darkness that nothing from this reign could pluck them from it, it was also true that a war was on the horizon- but what for? Leaning in to Risa's whisper she could hear only but her hushed words and the breathing of her party. Elthrael told his own stories, while Dionaea listened carefully- enticed by words she had never heard of, the images of these tales dancing in her head like a dream, or perhaps more like a nightmare. "There's however another path, a path long forsakened and hard to find. A place of old, with stories untold. A door of sin, with evil deed within. Into the forest of the elven moons, to the tree of all trees. In the keep of the old ones, the scroll of binding lies, amidst the terrible truth. A royal hand may open the path inside." Those words stuck with her. Why did it seem that Elthrael always seem to speak in riddles? She never met such a fairy who let so much up to the imagination. Flustered, her eyebrows furrowed a bit before the tone changed. Risa then pulled out a poster from her possessions and flattened it out on the table, Dia's eyes scanned the poster. She had been to many grand events in her life, even as a young child she had been always in attendance to these affairs that sometimes went by in a blur. Risa was correct that this type of event would attract many people from all over Avalia even humans who seeked help or perhaps were just curious cats. The sudden unfamiliar voice caused Dionaea to squeak, she hurried and grabbed the poster off the table as if it were contraband, a gut reaction from being raised by strict parents. Even if you were not causing any trouble, you were always on your guard for what COULD get you into trouble. She held the poster in her lap as she looked up to the young waitress and gave a small smile as her shoulders relaxed. It was only the waitress, nothing to be threatened or harmed by. "The egg and tajokel dish for me, and if you have any- an alaberry wine. Thank you so much!" she wanted something to take the edge off. Living in fear was not something she wanted to do for the rest of her life, let alone the rest of the day. She unfolded the poster in her lap and looked down admiring the calligraphy and craft. She wished this was a different time in her life where she could enjoy this ball with her family and friends even a love interest. She thumbed over the raised ink before placing the posted back onto the top of the table. Elsea chose not to eat, but Dionaea knew in the back of her mind the woman should to keep up her strength for whatever the rest of the day held. She thought to change her order to what Elsea had mentioned earlier but decided that she would just share parts of hers if Elsea so desired. The spicy human proceeded then to tell her own side of things, all fair in it's own rights. She spoke harshly but true, this was so much bigger than them, bigger than the fairies, bigger than what seemed to be all of the lands combined. When silence fell upon the table Dionaea felt it was the right time to let her own words flow. "I-" she started, her eyes looking down to the floor for a moment, she closed them for seconds catching herself in the act of holding back tears. She pushed through as her chin raised, "I am sick of how all of this has been handled." her tone was distressed, fluttering as she tried to calm herself before trying again. "Ever since I was a little girl I knew what was going on around us. These secrets were not hidden though they were coated in something a bit more sweet. Many people feel the way we do, we aren't special in that way, though a target has been set upon on because of who we ran into, rather than what we think. My brother's are dead now because of this. My entire family may be dead because of this, I only hope-" she swallowed hard, "I only hope that none of this was in vain. I want to see a world where people are not living in fear, if you can even call this living!" she exclaimed. "We need everyone to stand strongly together, we may look different, live different, speak different, even bleed differently but we all our connected and only together can we truly win." she nodded, using her fingertips to wipe away the tears that had formed along her cheekbones. "I am willing to do whatever it takes to get my family back, and to end this. Once and for all!" the young fairy finished, in a bit of huff. She spent a moment adjusting her fake ears on her head nonchalantly. Allie returned with their drinks and food. Before the young waitress could leave, Dionaea spoke out "We also need an order of the potato cakes!" she instructed, looking towards with Elsea with a sense of demand- which quickly faded to a soft, [sub]"Only if she wants them, please and thank you very much Alie."[/sub]
