The dark elves treated you no differently than the light elves have treated them. A horrendous cycle…”Risa lamented in reaction to Elthrael’s words with genuine sadness. “You have a very lovely appearance, Elthrael. Just because you appear different from Dionaea and I does not mean you are no less a fairy.” She listened to him as he spoke. Elthrael was unfortunately right; some beings such as orcs were just violent in nature and there was nothing to be done. Though she had never met an orc, so she decided she wouldn’t write them off yet. He continued on with a story of a different race of fairies who were hunted to extinction. Risa had not quite heard that fairytale before but it was intriguing. Finally, Elthrael suggested she do a royal request to which she wasn’t so sure would work well at this point. She was a respected girl amongst the River Fairy Kingdom but they’d need more than that. Perhaps her position could make people want to listen to her words though, and she could be a potential speaker. The risk that came with that was great. She decided to ponder on the best strategy before replying to that. He also brought up something about a scroll within the forest of elven moons that only a royal hand could open. She’d be willing to do so but if he meant the Moon Elf Village, it was a long ways away. Kyran also put his two cents in. He had a less peaceful outlook, suggesting that all humans had to fight Aklenroth if they were to win and that they needed to learn how to fight. “Kyran, we can’t force them all into war. It would not work even if we wanted it to. Search your heart, my darling. Maybe it’d be wise to teach them how to protect themselves but they need not fight any wars they do not wish to.” Thankfully, Kyran agreed on the priority of finding humans and Dionaea’s family. It would be great if everyone was on board with that priority at the least. That was when something peculiar happened. Kyran’s left eye started to glow red, causing growing concern. She watched him put his hand over his eye and she worriedly touched his shoulder, rubbing it comfortingly as she concentrated healing towards his eye. Risa could not understand what was happening but she knew how to spot pain faster than anyone. “Kyran?” He answered with a low growl but seemed to appear to normal upon Alie joining them. She tilted her head in confusion but decided to let it go until later. Elsea then told Alie she wasn’t hungry and Risa gasped. “Oh no, my sweet girl you have to fuel yourself!“ She didn’t get to protest too much about it as Elsea went on a tirade against Kyran soon after her statement, echoing the opinion she stated in a more aggressive manner. Risa wondered if all humans were so passionate. When Elsea started to talk about the gravity of war, Risa couldn’t help but tear up. The idea of seeing her friends die was something she could not stomach. “Even if it changes me, I will fight to make sure none of you die! I will heal you all until my last breath! I understand war is something I have not experienced and I am young, but we should have hope.” There was a pause after her words in which Dionaea took up the chance to respond. She tried to speak and Risa noticed she was holding back tears so she squeezed her hand under the table. Dionaea finally pushed through with her chin raised and Risa was so proud. She wanted to point at her and tell everyone, ‘That’s my best friend!’ The girl really was so tough and admirable with all that happened. Her words were uniting words to fight for a better world, which Risa loved. They had to truly believe in their cause and that they’d win. She also very considerately added on a dish for Elsea, which Risa was very happy she did as well. “We must believe in this with all our heart.”Risa said finally
