1) Either or. I usually do Discord + RPG, but some people don't like using Discord.
2) Probably optional. Sometimes I feel that it is a chore to maintain them, and I tend to have a general dislike for relationship sheets to begin with. Still will make one if the group agrees on having one, though.
3) I'd say C.
