Annabelle Lafeyette
Annie nodded. "Thanks, Andy. See ya around," she said, giving a wave. She would have to call child protective service. No kid should be homeless like that. Sighing, she continued on her walk. Annie also payed some attention to the car across the street. Some guy was talking to a little girl, and the kid looked uncomfortable. Narrowing her eyes Annabelle decided she would take a little detour. This was exactly the kind of thing she was worried around. She didn't want to be judgemental, but that guy did not look like that kids father, and that kid was all by herself on a school day. So, better than safe than sorry. Doug didn't mind. Annabelle decided to cross the street to get closer to the car. Nobody minded a woman walking her dog. It was the perfect excuse to walk wherever she wanted. It took a bit of getting there, but eventually Annabelle was just outside of earshot of the girl and the person in the cars conversation. As Doug walked around Annie cast a "sneaky" wayward glance toward the conversation to see what was going on. There were some sick people out there. Maybe she was just paranoid because of the conversation she just had but homeless kids with no support are extremely vulnerable.
