Most of her belief stems from her grandmother's bed time stories from when she was a child, but there is a part of Irina that is genuinely curious towards the aspect of magic.

Rᴇʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴs

F A M I L Y M E M B E R S
Irina is an only child born to Landon and Amelia Berstal—both names someone might know depending how long they have been in Root River. Though her parents moved to the city for "greener pastures", the post office was placed in Irina's care, who uses the profits to support her grandmother, Charlene, and her cousin, Ophelia, who was recently dumped onto Irina in hopes that she might learn something from her cousin's work habits.
A N I M A L F R I E N D S
Irina owns three carrier pigeons gifted by her grandmother, who trained them for long distance correspondence if regular mail isn't enough. Given that Root River is a small village, only the smaller offshoot of the building is used as the post office, where separate desks for ingoing or outgoing mail can be found. The rest of the building is exists as a three bedroom home where Irina, her cousin, and their grandmother live.
S T O R Y
For most of Irina's life, life has been rather simple. Her parents, and her grandparents before them, had ran the local post office, where Irina was left to her own devices (which often meant socializing with the post office's patrons). Recently, however, life had taken a change from the normality Irina was used to. Roughly a year ago, Irina's parents moved into the city (her mother had felt homesick), leaving the post office in their daughter's care. Then, there had been the letters from BigCo, as well her aunt and uncle dumping her cousin on her, hoping that she might learn a thing or two from Irina's hardworking nature. As for what Irina knows, the coming seasons are certain to be rough and hard, but it's the journey, not the destination, that matters, right?
