[sub]OoC[/sub]
How long do you usually write? Medium-to-long posts with plenty of opportunities for collaborative posts, particularly with regards to conversations, character development, plotting and planning, and furthering of the stories' arcs. Do you enjoy writing collaborative posts for things like conversations, combat, etc.? Very much so. Collaborative posts are my jam, as it were. In previous and current RPs, I generally tended to focus on collaborative posts, particularly as a result of one's own precarious health which can be upset relatively easily. Is grammar and depth of writing important to you? Grammar and depth of writing is important, absolutely. I can confidently assert my knowledge of the former. I have no idea if the latter even applies to me, though, to be honest. I don't know if my writing is deep or whether it's as shallow as a toddler's play pool. Are there any writing subjects you particularly enjoy exploring? Political and philosophical debates and discussions, particularly in the Sith Empire. The Empire to me is a fascinating state - it should not exist in the form it has, and yet it continues to stumble on, despite the all-too-obvious flaws in government that so often arise from a dogmatic and absolutist approach to the Sith Code as can be seen in many members (particularly amongst the upper echelons) of the Empire's aristocracy. I don't think Rashaaq would be a man who would prefer the Republic to the Empire, but he is convinced that the Empire, unless it is quick to rectify its many flaws in its system, will collapse, whether the Republic survives or not... Also organised crime. Organised, state-sanctioned crime. There's no better place to source your power from than the black market. Illegal untraceable weapons, drugs, sapient trafficking, that manner of business. Is there anything you really dislike and want to avoid like the plague? I can't think of anything overtly "ew please no", but I'm sure there is something. Is there something you are uncomfortable with happening to your character? I mean, short of 'rocks fall, Rashaaq dies'-level of events, I can't think of much that I'd be uncomfortable. Obviously, nobody likes writing their character failing, but you can't be a Superman that succeeds at everything all the time. Even Superman fails every so often, after all. Do you have any short-term or long-term goals with this character? Like I'm sure many people have said, I want to first and foremost establish Rashaaq as a presence within the RP. Whether that's as a foil to Jedi or his fellow Sith, or as an ally to reformists within the Empire, or someone willing to turn a blind eye to crime to facilitate the Empire's needs and desires, Rashaaq will find a way. I'd like Rashaaq to take a role in trying to reform the Empire into a more centralised, stable state which isn't at risk of splintering into eleventy-billion factions at the drop of a hat, though is perhaps more totalitarian than the Empire is currently. Only by maintaining state cohesion through ruthless suppression of resistance and indoctrination of youth, combined with benefits to the citizenry to encourage support for the system, can proper discipline be nurtured and encouraged. The Empire needs loyal and reliable servants, not power plays threatening to destabilise the whole state!
The Meaning of Power, Warfare and Politics (in which he wrote that "We see, therefore, that War is not merely a political act, but also a real political instrument, a continuation of political commerce, a carrying out of the same by other means") and A Basic Overview of Dictatorship, as well as his latest work, "Peace is a Lie": The Doctrine of Perpetual Warfare, which is both a treatise on how the Sith Code's well-known promulgation of 'Peace is a Lie' has aided and abetted the Empire's militarisation (what he terms Sith Militarism), but also how the Sith Code advances the so-called 'Doctrine of Perpetual Warfare', where the objective is not simply to destroy the Republic, but instead create a weak and divided Republic in order to secure stability and an 'eternal enemy' for the Empire's foreseeable future. Secondary Focus - Sphere of Law and Justice: Rashaaq's secondary focus is on the law and order of the Sith Empire. He is of the opinion that the Empire must rule with both the carrot and the stick - in his mind, it is true that it is better to be feared than to be loved, but only if one cannot be both. Rashaaq is firmly of the opinion that in order to achieve stability and security on the planets of the Empire, it is necessary to show to the populace that Imperial rule will benefit them, by means of improving infrastructure, stimulating business and listening to the population's concerns regarding matters of local government. Of course, he is not above deploying the troops, but enacting of martial law should not be the primary method of controlling a planet's population. In short, his opinion is that the Empire should rule strictly but fairly, and he tries to enact justice accordingly. Tertiary Focus: Imperial Defence No Darth would truly be worthy of their title if they prove unable to defend the Empire from attack. Rashaaq, however, takes his Imperial responsibilities in a somewhat more forthright manner - he himself has command of a small battlegroup of Imperial ships, commanded by himself from the bridge of the flagship Harrower-class dreadnought Iron Duke, with which he has been earmarked the defence of the system of Tarsus Ultra, a mining system which he, under the command of Lords Kretak Varolus and Stravan Theltek, captured during the Great Galactic War, captured from Republic forces under General Ryn Dennett in a series of engagements over the system. These fierce battles would see the deaths of both Varolus and Theltek, allowing Rashaaq to himself rise to the rank of Lord as a result of his distinguished service in the face of the enemy. Once his ascension to Darth was complete following the death of his mentor and master following his ascension to Lord, Darth Grellon, Rashaaq would then take command of Tarsus Ultra as his own small fiefdom.

[sub]Detailed appearance. Imagery insufficient.[/sub]
Rashaaq is a giant of a man. Standing at about seven and a half feet tall, he towers over almost all other humanoid species save for a select few (such as Gen'Dai and some Wookiees), and his frame is suitably heavy to match. With short, jet-black hair, grey eyes (of which his right has a scar prominently running vertically across it), and only sparse jewellery, Rashaaq cuts a spartan, austere figure, befitting of his status as a Darth of the Sith Empire. Dressed in his armour, Rashaaq is transformed from a monolith into a terrifying leviathan of combat. His armour evokes fear and despair in those who face him: a black cuirass of durasteel with cortosis weave and black pauldrons of the same material adorn his upper body, with a grey bodysuit on his upper arms meeting black armoured vambraces at the elbow, with integrated gauntlets protecting his hands. His thighs sport the same dark grey as his upper arms, but are protected by plates of interlocking durasteel for maximum flexibility and protection, whilst his lower leg is protected by all-encompassing armoured boots - again, made of the same material as his breastplate.
