Takeshi was quick to raise a hand and dopeslap Choi, but Kai beat him to the punch. Rude, but he was right, Shu probably did need a bath as well. There would be plenty of time later for everyone to wash up, they couldn't quite be strolling around the ship nonchalantly if there was a monster on board. Frankly the Prince didn't know what to make of these claims, obviously a little bit skeptical. It was more likely than not just some alien stowaway they had never seen before, and considering the only witnesses were engineers and they were hardly fighters themselves. The power of this thing may be slightly exaggerated then. Soon enough they'd find out just how strong it was, but first things first, Takeshi desperately needed to wash up. A lot of good it would do them if this thing could smell him coming a mile away. "You think those guys were a little spooked?" Kabocha joked, grinning as he sent a glance over his shoulder towards the bridge. "I mean seriously... He looked like he was about to lose his lunch. Some people just aren't cut out for fighting I guess." Some spooky creature comes by and they cry monster, it must stink to be that timid. Personally he couldn't wait to get an eyeful of this creature, just to laugh it off at how overhyped it was. "Who knows, maybe it will be as nasty as they say? With big, dripping fangs, and piercing eyes, and maybe it makes a nasty shrieking sound!" Takeshi shook his head, smiling amused at the entire idea of a monster onboard. "I'm sorry... But with all the traveling we've done I'm willing to bet that this is just something we haven't seen before. There's been a ton of weird creatures we could say were monsters, yeah? It's got to be one of those cases then. Just a bunch of grease monkeys getting overworked over nothing." If it was real then all the better, they'd have something to fight. So long as they didn't get overzealous and blow it up, along with the ship, things should be fine. "I'm sure they'll want to spend plenty of time with you!" Yumi smiled brightly, rather sure of herself. How could they not be? Their dad was safe after all this time, and they were free, it was the perfect chance for them to spend some time together. Were she perhaps a bit more nuanced with Saiyan life she'd not be so ready to think this way. "You can do anything you want to now too, anything that comes to mind. We're pretty relaxed as far as things go around here, and we split up responsibilities. Like... Vegeta and I usually cook, though your sons started helping us with that. Takeshi and Shu are normally the ones that hunt, so everyone's got something they contribute. We just try to help one another out, that's all. And no one is going to be making demands of you anymore, that's all in the past now." Strange, she found herself rather talkative all of a sudden. Yumi couldn't quite fathom why, especially since she was talking to a man she didn't know of all things. In most cases she'd be at the far end of the room, but with Daiko she wanted to talk to him. And she thought she found the reason why. "I'm sorry, I'm rambling." Yumi apologized, smiling sheepishly as she folded her hands in her lap. She had something on the mind and wasn't quite sure how to address it without seeming intrusive, so she just had to ask it outright. Looking at Daiko again she hesitated, not wanting to overstep her boundaries and upset the man. "If you don't mind my asking though... Can you tell me about your sons? I've been curious about them and haven't had a chance to figure out what their story is." The sound of a satisfying click and locks disengaging told Vegeta he had successfully broken into the engine room. It was a bittersweet triumph with this feeling of uneasiness washing over them at the moment. Looking into the wide room he would be lying if he said he was enthusiastic to go in there. This was definitely the source of that ill feeling, so whatever was causing it was in here. Exchanging a look with Viral he walked on inside, tensing up as they walked into the belly of the beast. The silence that filled the room was unsettling, as whatever had been making the noises just moments ago seemed to have stopped altogether. It was definitely still in here, it had to be, but the question was where? Swallowing nervously Vegeta continued on walking, taking the rightmost walkway and heading up high to get a better view of the space they were in. Scanning the floor around them he couldn't find anything at all, and aside from the feeling they were getting there was no energy to speak of. Just what the hell was in here? Crawling across the ceiling above a blue beast tracked the movements of the two newcomers. One was a Saiyan, it recognized it immediately by scent, and the other something it wasn't familiar with. Neither knew it was there, it had the element of surprise then. Smiling toothily it rotated its head to look straight down, beginning to follow Viral as he walked. Those pesky engineers had evaded it up until now, and as a result it was terribly hungry. These two... They'd do nicely, at least until there was a way inside the bridge. With a singular goal in mind now of devouring these two the beast stopped as the Beastman did, focusing its ravenous gaze on him. Opening its mouth it let out a low, guttural growl as it prepared to attack, a glob of thick, mucous drool seeping out and dropping down, probably landing on Viral's shoulder. No sooner did the nasty liquid hit him did the creature release itself from the ceiling, retracting its three talon like fingers and dropping down, trying to land right on top of its prey with a shrill shrieking sound.
