[b][color=D87093]How did you discover your powers?[/color][/b] [indent][i][color=708090]Akane's feels she has always known she has powers. Her father was a mutant and with their wealth kept a close watch of her for any signs of development. If Akane had to guess at the first time she actually displayed her powers was maybe around the age of 10? She fell from a tree in their backyard and snapped her femur as she crashed into the Earth. The searing pain became enveloping as her body practically caught on fire and transformed her form; burning her clothes and leaving her bare. After only a moment the burning pain across her faded and left her filled with a powerful warmth. Her leg stung terribly but the warmth slowly soothed it, repairing the bone over the period of almost an hour.

As the pain subsided from her leg she was able to stand and put pressure on it. She hurried inside, more intrigued by the changed color of her skin than actually scared by it. So the first thing she did was examine herself in the mirror.[/color][/i][/indent]

[b][color=D87093]General History:[/color][/b] [indent][i][color=708090]Akane was born to a prominent family in Japan, their name well known within the business world as a leading developer of...something techy. Akane never really paid attention to the family business. She was far too distracted by her emotions and the amazing world around her. Chasing butterflies, coming up with fanciful stories she would re-enact for her mother and basically anyone forced to give her attention. 

Though her playing was often interrupted by doctors called to their estate to take blood and check up on Akane. Her parents stating her father had a genetic condition that could pass down to his kids and they wanted to be precautious. She hated the tests terribly but she didn't want to upset her parents by causing a fuss. She was never privy to the information gathered from the tests. But she hardly cared. There was a hero coming to save the princess from the tower; all characters portrayed by her stuffies, which all had to do a casting session for the role.

One day in her tenth year of life she was off playing in their backyard. For reasons she can't quite recall she had to climb their large sakura tree. As she was climbing she lost her footing and fell, snapping her femur clean in half. The pain was suddenly overtaken by an enveloping blazing that scorched across her skin; burning away flesh in a blaze before leaving her. Her skin new beet red and no longer burning, only left with a powerful warmth deep within her.

After discovering her powers her parents became increasingly protective of her. They began not allowing her to leave the house, except certain rare occasions. She got personal tutors to keep her education in check; her mother and tutors teaching her languages and instruments to give her something to help pass the time locked within the estate. 

This lasted for a while before on her sixteenth year of life she was able to go to a special school for people like her. It was a hard sell, but her father finally agreed to allow it. From then she had moved from Japan to the states, enrolling into Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

After a couple years she was finally allowed to become a full fledged member of X-(Wo)men.[/color][/i][/indent]

-When they first met Akane was pretty sure she embarrassed herself by not being able contain her frantic energy and act normal. But that was pretty standard for Akane. Luckily it worked out and they became besties!
