Lucien's lips flattened into a thin line as Faolan spoke. He knew he had to stay quiet, but keeping calm in this situation was difficult. "Don't call it an it Faolan! There's a child in there, in a cage." His voice came out in a harsh whisper. Honestly he was surprised. He expected Faolan of all people to want to jump to this child's rescue. He knew how much the Irishman valued freedom, so he simply could not understand why he was being like this. "The child speaks German, I can ask them what is happening here, what they want to do, I don't know Faolan, but I refuse to sit here and do nothing. The moment I heard those voices I felt unsettled. Even now, the fact that we left feels wrong. If you want me to think about this then help me figure this out. Help me get over there." He told him. His tone left no room for discussion. If Faolan refused to help him here then he would find a way to do it without him. He refused to leave this place without making at least some attempt to provide that child with aid. Having Faolan's help would allow them to sneak around, because he would be able to hear incoming footsteps of the carnies who might be seen patrolling the area. By now he was sure the majority of the people had left, and the place was closing up. This was their chance, as a lot of the carnies would be distracted.
