Akio grew up in a relatively small town in the mountains near Osaka, where he'd spend his time alternating between helping his family and neighbours with farm work, exploring the mountains looking for whatever cool new oddities might have sprouted up since he'd last done so, and practicing judo with his relatively small group of friends at the equally small local dojo. For a while, he was content with this life, but eventually his wanderlust got the best of him, and he started wanting to escape the little mountain town and see more of, if not the world, at the very least japan.

Thankfully, his parents had been thinking along similar lines, wanting to give their son a chance to pick his own future rather than just assuming he would take over the farm. Additionally, his older sister, Akane, lived in a city which just so happened to have a fairly famous boarding school nearby. Their mind was made up when they learnt about the expansive grounds, ensuring that there would be plenty of room for Akio to run around in lest he get bored, antsy and stupid.
 
And so, with the beginning of the school year approaching, Akio said his goodbyes to the people of his hometown and ventured off into the great unknown that was city life!

Usually got a big ol' grin on his face, gets bored quite quickly, loves cooking, [i]loves[/i] eating, surprisingly active and mobile considering his size, takes damage like a goddamn [i]champ[/i], gets hit by bikes a lot for some reason.
