In a rather unique case for the school, Rika is allowed to wear a boys uniform - which she takes advantage of by the fact that she wears slacks and trousers rather than the skirts of the girls uniform. Some allowances have been given for her thanks to her position as captain of the volleyball team and her current three year winning streak since joining the team. She'll never be mistaken for a boy, but she does fill out a pair of pants like no body's business. It's probably the hips. Or the legs.  ✦ ✦ ✦[/color][/INDENT]

[INDENT] [color=A9A9A9][b][i]Perhaps because her athletic background and position as captain, Rika is something of a natural leader; she just has one of those auras that makes people want to go into battle with her, metaphorically of course. While she doesn't give rousing speeches at halftime, her fellow team mates have stated that they've been inspired to play better for something as little as Rika looking at them and nodding, or smiling. Nothing seems to get Rika down, the phrase 'cool as a cucumber' applies twice as much in her case as even when there's pressure in game or in academics she never seems to falter or fluster. On that same token she's quite reserved, distant, and doesn't say much - and yet that hasn't stopped a devoted group of fans admiring her from afar. Her smile can melt anything, but why does it seem so distant?[/i][/b][/color][/INDENT] 
[color=635AF1][b]𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 ••[/b] [/color]
[INDENT] [color=A9A9A9][i][b]Rika has three siblings, all brothers (two of whom are twins), all younger, and the four of them live with their mother and grandparents. Her grandparents are retired, though they make a survivable living because the Kihira name is on the town batting cages and plenty of people spend a few hours in the afternoon hitting some balls. When Rika isn't at practice or at a game or busy with homework, she can be found working the front desk of the cages. From a young age Rika was pushed towards athletics, starting with little league when she was nine but it wasn't until a summer trip to the beach that it was discovered her almost natural talent for volleyball. She can't recall if it was her decision or her parents, but as far as she can recall she'd been behind the net, serving and spiking with the best of them. Many adults in town speak highly of her, believing that she's going to be on the Olympic team one day, but those words have never been uttered by Rika herself. Still, she can't let people down, now can she?[/b][/i][/color][/INDENT]

She's never told someone 'no' if they've asked her for anything - the fact that no one has used this to score a confession style date speaks highly to her reputation as 'too cool to approach'. When doing running exercise at practice she always comes in last just to give the others on the team that joy. She quite enjoys the color green.[/b][/i][/color][/INDENT]
