Steppe Archer would listen attentively to the guard captain, glad that he was a relatively swell sounding person. She felt a bit sad that his subordinates didn't know their limits on drinking, but as her father told her, "Sometimes men want to prove they're men, and only reveal that they are asses." The job itself didn't sound too difficult. Just patrolling until the moon was at its peak, and making sure to drag any drunks or ne'er-do-wells back for a proper sit in a cell. She doubted that anybody would really be trying to cause trouble in a town where there was a huge population of armed individuals, but you never knew. Regardless, Steppe Archer was eager and ready to start, to the point that she would excitedly don a shield over her left arm, raise it in the air, smiling proudly as she bore the guards' crest on her shield. "We won't let you down sir! Only thing you're going to regret is that we don't sign on full-time!" With that said, Steppe Archer would march out, shield on her arm, and sword on her hip as she got out to patrol the streets. She figured that since the whole town needed to be patrolled, splitting up might be a good idea. Of course, she hadn't really...asked anyone if they wanted to. It wasn't until about a few streets later that the archer returned, running at full speed and panting. "Sorry, forgot to ask...are we splitting up or sticking together for guard duty?" If her brains weren't impressive, her hustle certainly was.
