Magics: Ruin, Bio, Cure, Reflect, Esuna, Thunder, Blizzard D-Links: Merlin Job: Scholar (or would black mage or similar be better?) Appearance: Saki is short even for an Au ra woman, standing around 5’1” tall. She has silver-grey skin and usually wears light blue lipstick. Saki typically dresses in scolarly robes, and although it’s not “proper” greatly prefers a pointed witch’s hat over a miterboard. Like all Au ra, she has dragon-like scales, horns, and a long reptilian tail. Brief History: Saki’s past isn't particularly important, to hear her tell it. She grew up and left home to see the world, eventually arriving at the Arcanist guild in Limsa Lominsa. Her career as an adventurer began uneventfully enough, but eventually grew considerably. She went from humble beginnings doing odd jobs and occasionally delving into dungeons to joining the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and helping them protect all of Eorzea from such threats as the Primals and the Garlean empire. It was during one such investigation for the Scions that Saki’s life took a turn for the unusual. Strange creatures had been appearing, and she was tasked with figuring out what they were, and dealing with them if possible. From the descriptions, these strange black shadows must be some sort of voidsent. Eventually, Saki found them. Small black creatures with glowing yellow eyes, larger ones in armor, and other unusual monsters. If they were creatures of darkness, they were utterly unlike anything else she had seen. She and her carbuncle fought these strange creatures, of course. Not that it did much good, it seemed like she could barely harm the things. It wasn’t long before she was overwhelmed and dragged down into the darkness. She wasn’t dead, or even unconscious. Was this the void? “You look like you’re in a spot of trouble,” a voice rang out from far away, and Saki reached toward it. In a flash of light, a new book appeared in her outstretched hand. Somehow, she knew that with it, she’d be able to fight back against those strange creatures, and fight she did, defeating the shadows that had come with her. Although she eventually made her way out of whatever gap between worlds she’d entered, Saki never did make it back to Eorzea. Being an adventurer, she’s taken her further travels in stride. The worlds were different, but someone willing to go fight monsters or do other odd jobs was still well enough in demand. Other:
I feel like the personal history needs work. Whatever the case, she's probably the sort you could imagine the player character in FF14 being if they weren't the Warrior of Light. And then things go off the rails.
