Desiree is cunning and manipulative. She knows how to play others like a violin. Her charisma is as dangerous as her fangs. She has little care for how her actions affect others and feel that the ends justify the means. She is extremely ambitious and set on her goals. Other vampires are treated with the minimum amount of kindness needed for her to retain her leadership position as long as they don't disagree or defy her. She is easily angered and lashes out in her temper once she loses her composure.  

The years have frozen Desiree's heart and it's a wonder if she ever had empathy at all with how cruel she is. She doesn't care what she has to do at all. She treats humans and other creatures like they were piles of garbage. Sometimes, she is willing to hear what her parents have to say but respect is reserved for those two only. She is known for going to extremes and ruling with fear at times.

Born in 624 A.D. to wealthy vampires in France to Marceau and Evelyn Gauthier, Desiree was well off. Her father, Marceau had many years to build his funds and were ready to supply her with the best life and education, despite education being looked down upon for women. She was a promising student growing up, well equipped and versed with writing and science, for the latter she'd take an interest in for many years to come.  She lived a pleasant life for years with her family and a small familial clan of vampires at the time. She would end up splitting up with her own clan from her parents for many years, but they would all meet up from time to time.

Then in the 1300s, the bubonic plague became an issue. In the village she resided it, many all died except for her and her clan. All were accused of witchcraft and of starting the plague due to their peculiar survival. Desiree managed to escape but somehow some of the accusers were strong enough to take the rest of her friends and burn them at the stake. She later learned werewolves had been involved, helping the humans in their unreasonable cause.

Desiree starts staying with her parents again after this event and they travel to other vampire clans together as her father is the original. She sees torture and murder of vampires often by humans and her hatred is a fire that's kindled and grown over time. Desiree forever has a bad taste in her mouth of humans. She tries a few attempts to make clans, only for them to be burned by hunting humans who feared them. Desiree felt that humans were despicable and jealous of the vampires being a superior race that was fated to take over the top of the food chain. They were disgusting pigs and deserved to be slaughtered like disgusting pigs. Werewolves were just humans who changed into filthy and uncivilized mutts every so often. Just as disgusting.

There was also a time that followed when a powerful warlock told her that he cursed her when he overheard Desiree ranting about her hatred of humans. The curse was that every time she gave in to her feelings of hatred, her hatred would consume any positive feelings she had until all she had was hate and never to love again over a slow, agonizing amount of years. She'd become a monster. It was an effort to push her into goodness. It didn't work out how he planned. At first, she believed him, and thought about it, not wanting to become an uncivilized being. He coerced her into believing that if she told him where her fellow vampires were, he'd put a protection spell around their home to keep hunters out. She did so, trusting him and he gave her location out to humans, who set the home in flames. She murdered the warlock, brutally, thinking it would nullify the curse. She never found out if it was real or not. Over the years, she did figure it was a trick. Desiree did hate witches as well after this though; calling them humans who play pretend. They'd never amount to anything with how large the vampire population was getting.

In the late 1600s, Desiree fueled her fire and started trying to gather a clan again, taking her work to Massachusetts to try to prey on vampires who wanted a new life in America, going as far as to convert humans with the promise of eternal life. She gathered hundreds with her promise to ascend vampires as the master race and to put humans back in their pig pens. The clan was officially created in 1692 when the Salem Witch Trials were beginning as vampires were also hunted during this time and she wanted to gather in vampires to protect them, telling all she gathered that it was to protect each other in the horrible time. She even saved a few witches in order to trick them into doing things for her. The vampires were so grateful for the protection and family she gave them that they followed her loyally, many treating her like a deity. 

Desiree got cocky through the years, gathering a massive following and launching mass attacks on villages and delighting in their pain. She made sure no history could be recorded of it. She got awfully experimental too, as the scientific side wanted to see what made humans so inferior. She'd cut open humans alive to examine their organs and torture them. They were just insects to her; their screams were nothing more than a laughing matter.
Her evil deeds became infamous to many and she got crueler and crueler as her hatred got worse.

As medicinal and scientifical knowledge increased, so did Desiree's knowledge. Her experimentation got more intense and she sought out making vampires of very intelligent and skilled folk to help build her clan and her knowledge. Whatever skill she needed, she'd bite someone with it. When the 1920's came around, she had amassed some builders and brought them with her to take over a small community in South Carolina called the Mill Community. Many wealthy people had come there to enjoy their retirement in luxury with quick access to shops and restaurants. With 2,000 vampires total, she easily took down the numbers of the folk in the community until she could put enough of them into a guarded building to live in and go into when feeding time came around. There was not enough in the town to cause much stir over their disappearance, only having a population of 112 people as it was just starting up recently. That was still a lot of families to wonder over disappearances, but the protests seemed to be pushed down and forgotten about. The families of the missing slowly went missing or died seemingly mysteriously over time. They delegated roles out to different sections and began to build up their own civilization, walling it over time and tweaking it to their liking. Anyone who wandered in met horrific fates. Forest surrounded the community and grass overgrew the road, making it difficult to locate. Witches were used to shadow the community from being seen unless people came up close. From afar, it'd be unnoticeable, making it difficult for hunters to find it until more recent years. 

Nowadays, Desiree seeks to try to make superior hybrid beings as well as stronger vampires through unethical means in order to wipe out any competition, hoping to have her vampire world dream come true. No longer will vampires ever have to suffer. All hunters and those who oppose will perish and Viet et Mort will reign supreme.

Luna has changed a lot from the kind girl she once was, now unfriendly and cold. She's stubborn and very hard to get to change her mind once it's set. She enjoys fun but not with others. Luna is the definition of a lone wolf. However, she has grew into a very level-headed, smart and quick-thinking individual from everything she has survived. Luna was born into a loving, pure-blood witch family. They were well-off and able to provide well for Luna; she had a pleasant childhood. It was a small coven made up of those of the Lockheart family exclusively. Her parents taught her how to control her powers and so she became well acquainted with them at a young age. She was home schooled so she did not make so many friends as other children. Everything seemed fine until Luna, age 14, was bit by a vicious werewolf. The werewolf's pack ganged up on her and forced her to stay into the den so she would transform and miss the concoction period to be saved. 

When her parents' coven raided the den, they found their daughter as a werewolf. Disgusted, they killed the werewolves and then sold her to Desiree, a family friend. Their daughter was dead to them. Desiree, being the cunning and diabolical woman that she is, pretended to feel sorrow and sympathy for her. The two bonded, along with her vampire clan, for a few years until Desiree had gained her love and trust. Upon that, Desiree began to experiment on her and fed her lies that she would be so powerful that she would be able to take revenge on her parents. Luna accepted the offer, not knowing any better and trusted Desiree. Unfortunately for Luna, the experiments nearly killed her. When Luna was flat lining, Desiree found herself enraged and dumped her down the death chute in her mansion so the other vampires could feed on her. Luna, being enraged and grief stricken, transformed into a werewolf and escaped. Now, she is clinging to life and desperately needing help in order to survive.

With a tough exterior, Nikolaus comes off as brutal. His smile is reserved for those who he deems deserving of it. He could have put the Grinch to shame with his cold and menacing attitude. To put it simply, Nikolaus is serious and also extremely quiet. There are a few hunters who have never heard him speak. Sometimes he can go hours without talking to anyone and be the happiest man alive. His sarcasm rolls off his tongue as dry humor, while his wit is sharper than a whip. Despite his core of steel, a big heart lies buried deep inside. His loyalty is not easily won, but once it is, he will become ride-or-die. His resourcefulness surprises most - but his strongest trait is his bravery. He will seemingly go to any lengths to save those he cares for whilst being responsible. Nikolaus's cunning nature comes naturally as well but only for hunting purposes. His ambition is not too strong, though it's been pushed by his father. There is more than meets the eye with Nikolaus that he doesn't leave on the surface.

[color=#AED6F1]Holly was born in Southampton, England to a wealthy and loving family in the 1900s. Their coven was small and all wealthy aristocrats from different eras. Their parents worked to blend into society and made sure Holly received the best education possible. Night and day, Holly practiced magic to become as strong as possible. Tragedy struck in 1912 after their town suffered a brutal vampire attack. A string of violence followed after; werewolves and vampires were raging and killing anyone or thing in their sight. She had heard the name "Vie-Et-Mort '' but didn't know who they were. Their coven decided to set sail on the RMS Titanic to start a new life in New York, USA. They were first class citizens after their tickets were bought.

Holly was young and overly excited to be on the ship. The Coven made sure to warn her not to use magic and thus, paused her studies. She was jubilant and obedient and made sure not to do anything out of the ordinary. Prim and proper she was raised, but her personality didn't follow through. She enjoyed running around with other class-men on the ship and playing tricks on the crew. Her coven disapproved and would often scold her, going as far as locking her in her room. She would find ways to sneak out however, much to her parent's amusement and disappointment. Still, Holland was raised to be a lady and treated as such, leaving a lasting impression upon her to the present time.

On April 15th, 1912, tragedy struck when the Titanic hit an iceberg. At first they thought nothing was wrong; then as the hours crept on, Holly's coven knew danger lurked. Just how much, they weren't sure. When the crew came to begin escorting them to the lifeboats, Holland's father was forced to stay back. Grief-stricken and horrified, Holland acted out and accidentally produced magic. They claimed she was a devil and had caused the RMS Titanic to sink. To make matters worse, they barred her from the lifeboats out of fear she’d cause it to sink also. The females of her coven were aboard the lifeboat and begging them to take her along. However, there was an ex-coven member aboard the ship who had been kicked out due to practicing dark magic. He ousted their family, claiming they were all, “sinners, devil-worshipers,” and caused the ship to strike the iceberg.

The Coven was kicked off the lifeboat, but not before her mother casted a cloaking spell on Holland and smuggled her onto a lifeboat with a witch after her father created a wild distraction with magic, claiming he was the son of Satan come to raise hell. Her parents loved her more than anything and would do anything for her, including risking their lives. Holly’s father, Charles, already knew he wouldn’t survive and wanted his baby girl and wife to have another chance. Her mother, Adeline, however was hexed by the warlock and unable to produce magic or join her daughter on the lifeboat. She tried to fight it but the warlock used a silence spell on her.  Holland was forced to watch her parents' faces slowly fade from view as she was lowered into the water. She never forgave herself. 

Once on land, Holland was abandoned by the witch, Cynthia so she could start her own life.  Cynthia had lost her husband and some of her family members, partially blaming her for it. Holland was quickly discovered and taken to an orphan and neglected. Nobody ever trusted her, calling her a demon and Satan sympathizer. After years went by, Holland stopped practicing magic and ignored her gift. It wasn’t until she was 17 did her luck change. A family adopted her and gave her a chance: Nia and Samuel Rogers. 

At first, Holly thought they were both human and then it was revealed to her that the mum was a witch, and the father a vampire. She was forced to act as if Samuel was a human and in fact, not a vampire. To help aid this cause, Nia used magic to hide his fangs. They helped her recuperate and heal from her past. Eventually, Holland began to thrive and started practicing magic again. She was enrolled into a witch academy to begin studying academics and learning magic to become more advanced. She made friends again, many who had been torn apart by the Holy Saviors. Her parents also adopted an Irish twin set named Aileen and Maddox.

More tragedy struck when Holland had turned 31. The coven had found Samuel drinking blood. Outraged and disgusted, they brutally assaulted him and “caught him in the act” as Holly remembers it. An all-out battle raged, forcing people to take sides. Not willing to stand against the coven and face the Holy Saviors alone, their family was ganged up on. Nia used a cloaking spell on Holland and pleaded for her to escape. Her mother was struck down quickly after her father. The Coven eradicated Aileen and Maddox, including both families' relatives. This left Holly all alone once again. Grief-stricken, she fled the home once more; alone and devastated, she swore to never trust anyone again.

he made a new life for herself and practiced on her own. During the world wars, she served as a nurse in the army and helped heal and save lives with her magic. She managed to make a life for herself. Holland used a Changing spell frequently to hide her true appearance from others. Eventually, Holland’s grief simmered but bitterness grew. As the years went on, Holland didn’t pursue relationships or friendships. Since Viet-Et-Mort grew however, Holland began training harder, with magic and exercise/working out as well. She had witnessed horrendous atrocities by both werewolves and vampires. Although she hated to go against them, she found herself unwilling to trust them. 

Skip to present day: she now works with Operation Humanity and serves as their witch adviser and helper.
