WIP SECTION

Character you have created: Briseann an Ghaoth te an Geimhreadh Oighreata Alias: -Winter -Lady of Flowers and Sorrow -The Painter of the Blooms -The Lady of Storms, Glade-walker -Lamb of the Periwinkle -Sapphire Princess(not allowed in the unseelie court) -Queen of Scraps(insult) -The Tear that Waters the Gardens(insult) Speech Color: Sky blue Character Alignment: Uhhhhh. Identity: Everyone in the London supernatural scene knows who she is. Most European supernatural circles know what she is. Anyone dealing with the fae regularly knows what she is. No one knows where she comes from outside of the Unseelie Court. Character Personality: Briseann is utterly alien to most human understanding, as she is one of the sidhe. She can be at best described in anecdotes, and most of those are positive. She extracts favours for people in return for giving them a new chance or start on their lives, however it may be accomplished. She cannot be bribed to give away their details, so she may be described as honorable or honest. She refuses to grant safe passage to those who threaten her clients or staff, so she may be described as loyal or protective. She is fierce in defense of her carved out possessions, so she may be described as territorial. All of these fail miserably to describe her as a person, but as she may in fact fall outside of the definition of “person” to begin with, they will do for now. She can be said to enjoy word games, food, drink, and songs, especially anything original. She constantly uses her wealth and influence to acquire artwork and, more importantly, artists. And excepting those who have wronged her or her people, she is quite friendly, or at least welcoming. Uniform/costume: Other than a penchant for the colors of spring flowers and the sky, she has no solid style, and seems to change outfits and fashions as often as her whim. Origin Info/Details: How does one describe thousands of years of an unaging fairy's life? It's pretty impossible. So let's try and pare it down to the barest of bones. Winter was born in the lands of the fae, to a doomed court in a doomed family. She managed to survive due to her mother's guile and tenacity in securing a future for her only daughter, at the expense of her own life. For over a thousand years, Winter lived in the court which shares her name, and learned there all the lessons which would ensure her survival. Mostly these involved living through assassination attempts: light poisonings, magical attacks, political maneuverings, trolls assaults, and any number of knives, swords, maces, garrotes, and friendly fists. In addition her mind became sharp as a sheet of ice, viciously prepared to cut through bullshit without saying she had. Silence in victory and utter relentlessness in avoiding defeat finally took their toll, however, and she finally mis-spoke in front of the Queen of Air and Darkness. Her years of service and her existence as a reminder of the price of hubris saved her life, but she was banished, upon pain of True Death, to the lands the fae had lost so long ago. Here, she scraped, stumbled, and bled through a good portion of modern history, living several life times and losing everything more than not. In the modern day, she has taken residence in London, occupying as much building as her aptitude with finances will allow, and now running the club known as Bláthanna Bróin, where she rules as a minor queen amongs the supernatural population, enforcing a blocks wide neutral zone for all creatures to engage in that most human of activities: Capitalism. She has been here since the Blitz, having helped rebuild the area she now occupies, and has earned the respect of most of the supernatural population by tending to their wounded during the war. Hero Type:Magic Power Level: City Powers:
Flowers of Sorrow: While not actually a power in and of itself in the typical sense, the bar is the height and seat of Winter's powers, and even has defenses, and thus deserves to be listed. The club/bar/pub/inn/meeting place that is Flowers of Sorrow occupies the north corner of Berwick and Peter streets, and the building occupies half of the block. Her territory, of which the bar is the seat, runs from the A40 to Picadilly Circus, and from Regent Street to Charing Cross Road. The entire area, centered on the bar, is a massive network of magical defenses and businesses. The bar itself is magically and technologically proof, at great expense, from any sort of surveillance, teleportation, or other violations of territory. The lower floor is a restaurant and bar, and the first floor is a nightclub. The space between the two floors is made completely sound proof. Anything above the first floor is for actual meetings, temporary stays, or other specialised uses and is invitation-only. The top floor is a massive garden, and also houses Winter's true demesne, which is a nexus of magic in and of itself. Sidhe magic: As a true sidhe, unlike pixies and other minor fae, Winter is a being of magic incarnate. Her glamours can convince people they are dying when they are not, and only other sidhe or experienced magi-users can easily see through them. She has power over growth and life and birth. Like all sidhe magic, not only does this come in minor, gentle forms, but also terrifying extremes. The Unseelie are known to be cruel, but Summer can burn as badly as Winter chills. Spring comes with storms, and Briseann can call lightning or rain as she desires. Spring's gentler side can help heal wounds and restore crops, but also like the rest of her people, she does nothing for free. And her powers of regrowth and rebirth allow her unparalleled ability to manipulate memories, allowing those who want a new start to literally forget forever why they left their old lives. Sidhe body: Only the most experienced of spell-casters, well-prepared for mental trauma, can see one of the High Fae's true forms. What most see is whatever glamour the subject has coated themselves with, and Briseann is no different. She is incredibly light for her normal human size, and very fast and strong, moving as she does with magic assistance. She is immune to mortal poisons, does not suffer the effects of time, and does not fall ill. She is also remarkably resistant to damage caused by weapons not of iron or steel, lighter blades simply bouncing off of her.
Attributes (Select one at each category):
Height: 5'11” Weight: 36 lbs Strength Level: around triple an athletic human Speed/Reaction Timing Level: faster than humans can think, but slow for a faerie fighter Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Not long. (also ha! Effort) Agility: Terrifying Intelligence: This category is hard to measure, as faeries do not think anything like humans at all. For simple calculations, however, she can outpace most superhumans. Fighting Skill: Extremely dangerous but relatively untrained. Resources: Comfortably affluent, though not mindbogglingly rich.
Weaknesses: -Iron and steel will kill her as if it was cyanide-filled molecular acid. Just touching it will cause her extreme pain and negate every last piece of magic she has. Her magic cannot effect anything shielded by the metal, either. -Any entry to the fae realms, for any reason, in any area, will immediately cause a mark on her skin. Ever after she is a target of the Wild Hunt. -While immune to mortal poisons, faerie poisons will still be more than sufficient on a sidhe. And while no disease can touch her naturally, curses levelled at her can accomplish the same thing. -While naturally fast and strong compared to humans, she is actually somewhat weak for a sidhe. Others of her kind could easily overpower her. Thankfully most sidhe do not fight with their own bodies.
