Lucien heard the engine roar to life once more, signifying that the coast was clear. He looked at the boy, who seemed to relax a little at this. "We've lost them. They won't be able to find us now." Lucien reassured, giving the boy a peace of mind. "R-Really?" He asked. "Yes, Faolan's trick worked, they think we're long gone by now. We're going to travel through the night to head into the next state, to make sure to knock them completely off our trail. I know that you've had a really long day. You should try get some rest while you can." He told him. For a moment, Lucien rose from his chair and headed to the back of the trailer. He opened a drawer and pulled out a large blanket. It wasn't something he hadn't needed too much in a while, considering Faolan provided him with enough warmth as it was, but he figured the boy would need it. He returned to him, and opened it for him. "That's.. for me?" He asked. "Of course, i want to make sure you're warm. You should try to get as much sleep as you can. I'm going to be up front with Faolan, but if you need anything at all, just call for me okay?" He told him. Snake wasn't really used to.. such kindness, but he took the blanket anyway, and placed it over himself and his snakes. He hadn't felt warmth like this in a long time. "Thank you.." "You're very welcome." He said, before moving back to join Faolan at the front of the trailer. "I told him it'd be best if he got some sleep." Lucien paused for a moment as he spoke, before turning to look at the Irishman. "We've made it past the first hurdle.." He said, reaching for Faolan's hand and giving it a small squeeze. "I knew we would."
