Everything was pointless in it, it just pulls out a bunch of random sci-if/slasher troupes and then does nothing with them. The plot was just a jumbled mess of pointless scenes and characters and failed to accomplish anything but to give a really vague and stupid backstory to the Aliens race.

It has the writing of a crappy slasher porn movie without any good slashing or porn, and thus managed to come off as a complete waste of time for me, whether you connect it to the Aliens series or not.
