[color=ECED37][b]𝐒𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐄 ••[/b][/color][color=A9A9A9]The signature piece of Akari's outfit, no matter the time, place, or season is the 'PRESS' badge she wears on her chest. It's custom made, laminated, and is shaped like an old sheriff's star badge. To her it shows that she has press clearance but to others it more closely resembles someone extending their childhood as a way of standing out. But those that know Akari know she is fully genuine. If any signature look was present for Akari it is her love of knee-high socks. She wears a different pair every day at school with her skirt. Some have tried to guess how many pairs of knee highs she has considering she's never wore the same pair twice in a school year, but so far no one has truly come close. Even on days off she'll wear them under her jeans or, as she most often wears, her shorts. Lately she's been stubborn about wearing clothes that fit more tightly and squeeze the skin because she doesn't want to think that she's gone up a size. ✦ ✦ ✦[/color][/INDENT]

[INDENT] [color=A9A9A9][b][i]On the surface Akari might come off as a naive girl with a childlike wonderment - and given the nature of her monthly newsletters distributed around the school they are certainly right to think that. But it only takes one interview session for the paper or an extended conversation with her to know that she's far sharper and informed than she lets on. If Akari was a gambler she'd likely be the type who would win it all by nature of the fact that no one can ever truly tell when she is or isn't bluffing. She calls it a trick of the trade. Despite her keen eye for reading people - a skill handy in her future profession - the childlike nature comes out whenever anyone touches her hair. Headpats, to Akari, are catnip. She might get flustered and annoyed and red in the face after the fact, but if there's one way to contain Akari it's by patting her head and watching her turn into something dangerously cute.[/i][/b][/color][/INDENT] 
[color=ECED37][b]𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 ••[/b] [/color]
[INDENT] [color=A9A9A9][i][b]Akari's parents were married to more than each other. They were married to their job at a publishing company; her mother was an amateur mangaka and her father was determined to make his wife's work a success. As such, Akari spent a good portion of her childhood hanging around with and sleeping over at her best friend Akiko Niijima's house. The two of them became fast friends, with Akari going so far as to knowing all the names of Akiko's stuffies due to having attended her fair share of tea parties over the years. The two of them have been together for what seems like forever, though with Akiko wanting to shy towards not being seen as a child and Akari blissfully unaware that many perceive her as such, their friendship could well be heading down different paths. 

Akari fancies herself an ace reporter, an investigative journalist that will expose the truth and protect her sources by any means necessary! What that translates to, at the moment anyway, is editing and designing a monthly newsletter for the school to keep students up to date on the events and goings-on in the school. But every month features a new little character in the corner so there's that to look forward to if nothing else. 

But one day, her name will be on a byline read around the world![/b][/i][/color][/INDENT]
