The last time she had seen them all had been in the alternate world her future sister-in-law, Wanda, had constructed... and Guin had asked her fiancé to basically help her with assisted suicide, after admitting that she had a thing for the Human Torch growing up. It hadn't been her finest moment by any standards. And then of course, the Avengers were here - an amazing, incredible group of heroes who had seen her in the grips of drug addiction and all of the messy emotional drama that rich teenagers got up to. Guin didn't usually get embarrassed, but as her dad waved at her she couldn't help but grimace slightly. This was bound to get rough. "Why is it always something terrible in the sky with the Avengers?" Guin muttered under her breath, as Mister Fantastic explained the situation at hand. Her blood felt cold. Something called the World Eater hardly was on her top ten list of threats she wanted to face - but then again, had Magneto, President Jakobsen, Mesmero, and the Scarlet Witch been on the list? They never really got to pick who was going to cause problems. What she wouldn't give for a vacation at this rate... She frowned slightly when Richards mentioned that the Nullifier would kill whoever used it. Someone wasn't going to make it out of this alive. "Couldn't we, y'know, program a robot to use the nullifier? Or does it have to be a living person?" she asked. She snorted slightly when Richards then proposed that of all the teams, the X-Men were going to be sent off to steal this device. If they were living in one of the CW TV shows, this definitely would have been the annual crossover episode. It felt like a Tuesday. One of the new girls made a point that most of them couldn't legally drink and Guin rolled her eyes slightly. "We're old enough to go die for our country in the military, this isn't that much different." Not that she wanted to die, of course - but she hated being called a kid. She was twenty one years old, after all, and engaged! "Do you have a means of tracking the device? And navigating the ship? Since I doubt Piet will want to run everyone around if the ship is as massive as I'm expecting it to be..."

Neil Spellman

Location: Stark Tower Skills: N/A
Neil had been lucky enough to not be afflicted by M-Pox, but that didn't mean he escaped its consequences. Anti-mutant hate groups had taken advantage of the tensions and escalated their tactics, especially in the nation's capital in Washington D.C. Sure, the X-Men were seen as superheroes by the majority of the public, but ordinary mutants weren't. They still lived in fear. As much as he hated to admit it, mutants were basically victims... unable to fight back. So the X-Men had to do it for them. He took Sara's hand gently as Mister Fantastic started explaining the situation, listening attentively to the conversation. Neil wasn't the most talkative person, preferring to think to himself as to what could be done. They didn't really have a choice as to whether or not they could do this. They couldn't just let Galactus consume the planet - everyone would perish, maybe some of the rich with fancy escape plans could survive, but even that he doubted. The Fantastic Four and the Avengers couldn't do it, and while they were young, the X-Men did have some experience with this sort of thing. Most of the team (not him) had even saved reality after the Scarlet Witch altered it. Of course, Neil couldn't help but also notice that if mutants saved the world from Galactus, just maybe it would change people's minds and hearts.... Maybe mutant hate would begin to subside. The others were asking good questions, all of them essentially being the questions that Neil himself had.
