Comparatively speaking, I’m looking at the period between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens/New Jedi Order as the timeframe for this RP. 

The Galactic Empire’s Moff’s and Admirals are still holding onto their pieces while the Rebel Alliance is breaking through on core worlds though they have yet to take Coruscant. The power vacuum created from Palpatine’s death has allowed a more hectic and wild era. So essentially this will allow us to focus on characters and planets in an interesting dynamic without having to worry about a Jedi Order or Galactic stranglehold. In many ways this is a successor of my original Saga tabletop campaign (Imperial Knights), though for all players that’s more of a fun trivia thing than an important hallmark to take heed of.

I think it will be interesting and give us a lot of freedom going forward as the universe shapes itself.
