It made things more then a bit interesting, to hear that this place had training more of in combat and lessons like that. Sure, it was nice to hear that there was some normal stuff that went on there, but training in combat? That just sounded like a whole lot of fun, no matter what anyone else really said. She enjoyed that sort of thing. Jason nodded his head slightly, it certainly was to be expected based on everything he knew so far about this camp. Nothing was normal, and everyone seemed to know how to fight if the incident at the gate wasn't some sort of sign. He had some training of sorts in fighting, usually it was something just for fun that he'd do after school, but here clearly it was a lot more serious. As in if you didn't know how to fight, it could mean the difference between life and death or something. "I mean, I've learned more than a few little things when it comes to fighting, I mean... I took up sword fighting at one point out of boredom, since there wasn't exactly anything else to really do... Well besides sports for me at the least..." he said with a bit of a shrug. Most people tended to just see him as the jock type, and he usually fit into that stereotype well. This seemed like the sort of thing he'd do back home, despite the fact that now it would actually be more of survival based skills. "Honestly, that sort of thing just sounds like fun to me, as does the other stuff you mentioned... The chariot races and Capture the Flag. Guessing your version of Capture the Flag is more then a little bit different then the typical one you'd play back in school," Janelle commented to her brother. "Honestly, this sort of thing sounds interesting to me, and I'm all for it, sounds like we'll have some fun with it, even if the skills we'd get would actually be necessary for survival or something..."

Marygold Isley

Location: Camp Half-Blood - the Big House Skills: Chlorokinesis

Mary nodded her head slightly at Zeke as he essentially told her to leave and head over to the arena. She had been planning on doing that anyway, but didn't really care too much for the fact that Zeke was telling her what to do. That was more then a little rude in her mind, but she didn't care, as her attention was pulled away by Rebecca asking her to see about sprouting up some peppermint for them. "Will do," she said simply, giving her a bit of a smile, before she started concentrating on it. It took her a moment, but the peppermint sprung up in her hand, allowing her to then hand it over to Rebecca rather easily. "Here you go, I'm going to see about following after Keira to the arena. Guess I'll see you both there later," she said simply, before she followed after Keira to leaving the Big House. "So that certainly had been an interesting situation to walk into wasn't it?" Mary asked her, walking along beside her.
