She had no real opinion about Rodias condoning spying nor did she about the lengths he was considering to do so. Aera had been, after all, directed by her master to serve without question. In the past she hadn’t considered implications or moral codes, but something in her had stirred since her world changed before their eyes and they were marooned in a strange place with only Rodias to guide her. Her former master had thrown many fits about morality and as she walked from the throne room she had slowly been keeping the stray thoughts aside. Why was Rodias ready to task them as he did? Why did she suddenly care? What would her lost master think if she was here? All seemed fair questions, perhaps, but Aera had never asked questions before; not even to herself. As they arrived where the beasts slept, Rodias had her mind immediately ask more questions while she was trying to push questions aside. “Rodias?” The wolf-like human peered at her companion, almost like she was as takenaback as Agathina was. She nearly paused as she remembered his orders to ensure that no permanent harm would befall the beasts. She corrected her tone, reminding herself of the pecking order. She knew Rodias was powerful, so she understood the implication of his request now. She would have to keep the beasts alive and should Rodias need it, himself as well. She could do that. She cleared her throat. “I'm ready when you are.”
