Her dyed hair comes off as particularly striking compared to her pale skin and green eyes. She has a fairly trim build and toned legs due to her daily morning run, though it would be a stretch to call her athletic. Her clothing style is pretty simple and casual, as she's usually seen sporting a pair of jeans along with a plain blouse, usually a different color per day though notably a creamy white. She'll sometimes wear a jacket as well, though it's pretty interchangeable with a vest. It all really depends on what she's feeling in the moment.

PSYCHOLOGY
"That dream seriously fucked me up."

MAIN GOAL ⫻ She wants to find the piece of herself that she believes is missing; she'd give anything to feel whole. PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Life's short, so indulge in what makes you feel happy and fulfilled. She's also determined to a fault, she doesn't really know how to stay down and despises the very concept of giving up. SECRETS ⫻ Nobody except her immediate family and her therapist know about the dream she had that felt like it went on for several years, and isn't quick to divulge that information to anyone. Additionally, her generally pleasant demeanor is a facade for a much colder, crass, angry, and frustrated persona, and she has no problem using people or dropping them from her life. SEXUALITY ⫻ She doesn't even know anymore. Generally, she feels that she's straight, but she's felt attraction to women at times ever since that fateful dream. Yet she doesn't know if it's truly her own feelings or remnants from a false life. FEARS ⫻ Dreaming. It's never happened again, but she's terrified of going through a years-long dream again and waking up to an entirely different life. REPUTATION ⫻ A bit of a girl-next-door. She's nice enough, though she's gotten around enough for people to gossip about it, though those claims are far more exaggerated than what's actually happened. She goes to church at least, so most who disapprove of her sexual history for whatever reason are at least cordial with her to her face. Some who know her family personally or through work have questioned why she returned home from college early, only to take on a job at the library of all places. Those few may have a sense that something happened to her, though they have no idea what. QUIRKS ⫻ She's always checking the time, as if she's got some place to be; it just helps her feel more grounded. She's also always doing something with her hands, feeling compelled to fidget or at least hold something, or else she begins to feel awkward and vulnerable. Often, she'll find herself gravitating towards people who she can tell are missing something as well. FLAWS ⫻ She's generally detached from other people, both socially and emotionally. She can fake normalcy decently well, but a people person would be able to see through her. She's definitely got an anger streak as well, which can feel like it comes out of nowhere if one hasn't seen it happen before. Ultimately, her biggest flaw is her need to find (recreate?) what once made her feel whole, which has led to some questionable and impulsive decisions.

BACKSTORY
"Sometimes, I wonder...that 'other me'...does she know about me too?"

Born in Araminta, June had considered herself to be normal for the longest time, if not particularly unremarkable. She never thought low of herself by any means, but she really was just another person in a sea of people. Both her parents stuck around to be there for her despite divorcing when she was 15, which she saw coming due to the constant arguments they had but still felt her heart break when it happened. She also had an older brother, who often had her back just as much as she had his. She did well in high school, nothing amazing but it was more than enough to get into a college out of town. She studied world history as it interested her but she wasn't sure if it was something she would major in. She also had a boyfriend, but it didn't feel serious. She supposed she could say she was unsure of herself and what she was going to do with her life. Possibly even defined by her relationships to others. But then one night she dreamed something unimaginable. She woke up the next day normally, but she believed she'd been asleep for several years. She lived a life entirely unfamiliar to her, yet felt natural enough to be real. She had gone to school to be a nurse, and even graduated and found work at a hospital. Her romantic life was full of waves, yet constantly stimulated as she hooked up and broke up with boyfriends...and girlfriends too. She remembered the one person she fell for the most was a woman named Sheryl, and they'd eventually gotten back together in a serious relationship. She also remembered that she was not the same person she thought she always was. Her "dream" self had been...vicious, to put it lightly. She did whatever she wanted, within reason, and had what could only be described as a powerful aura. When she finally woke up, nothing felt real. She couldn't tell if she was actually still dreaming, or if the dream she'd had was actually the "real" world all along. She had a mental breakdown, and ended up having to see a therapist for over a year to work through the trauma of what had happened to her. She ended up moving back to Araminta to be close to family as she coped, and took up a job at the library to help make ends meet. But as weeks and months went by, an uncomfortable truth began to make itself clear: she wasn't the same person from before. Whoever she'd been in that dream wouldn't completely disappear from her psyche, and parts of her old self felt lost. She felt mixed, yet unwhole. It didn't feel right. The strange affairs occurring in Araminta weren't doing her mental health any favors either, especially as they became more blatant and outlandish. She ran into the dog made of fog during one of her morning runs, and felt a strange connection to the feeling it was giving her. She eventually followed it out of sheer curiosity, and it lead it to an eviscerated body she didn't recognize. She called the police anonymously to report what she found but didn't stick around, she didn't want to be involved, though she has no idea if anyone ever saw her discover the body or make the call. She didn't know what to make of any of it, as it was freaky as all hell, and considered just leaving town again. Hearing about the supposed moth swarm that ravaged traffic sometime later only reinforced this idea. But of all things that made her decide to stay, it was running into the masked killer that she'd only heard of through hushed rumors. Though confronted, something snapped in her that activated her fight-or-flight response just in time to avoid getting hacked to pieces. She ran and ran, until eventually she was certain she'd lost the killer. It was something she was sure her old self would never had been able to do; she was certain her old self would had just died. It was all so strange...but she just about done running by this point. Shit was going down, and she wanted some god damn answers.

SKILLS & TALENTS
"Surprised my dream translated into the real world so well. Kinda makes you think."

[History] ⫻ Though she never got her major, June is fairly knowledgeable about world history. [Nurse] ⫻ As a part of her attempt to cope, she read up a lot on the courses required to become a nurse. What scares her is she isn't sure if the information she learned is actually new to her or not, as a lot of it somehow felt familiar and easy to pick up, comparable to riding a bike. Regardless of how well she can put the knowledge to practical use, she can at least apply first aid in a pinch. [Coding] ⫻ She isn't a coder, at all, but she understands a lot of the basics and terms due to her "girlfriend" Sheryl being a coder herself in the dream. She remembers how excited Sheryl could get about it, and a lot of it stuck in her mind.
