Greetings weary travelers! Come, and listen to my boon. I'm but a man looking for a few friends to join me in the adventure of a lifetime... or someone else's lifetime at least! Many before you have come to take part in these adventures, but all have fallen before the greatest foe that all of our kind have... interest loss! Though this foe is great indeed, I hope to once again take on this enemy that has cost us so many fellow comrades. The task is perillous, and one, if not all of us, will likely fall before this great threat. Nevertheless, I long for the thrill of the fight, so come ye lads and lasses! Come and join me on my conquest for an everlasting RP! (though I'll settle for long-lasting too) Now then, there are a few routes we can take, though all will eventually lead to the evil that is interest loss. Of course, I have planned a few courses that we may go through, though if you have any ideas of your own, I'd love to hear them! After all, there's no killer of boredom greater than randomness and on the spot thinking! I only ask that we keep these adventures of yours somewhat PG... you can keep things under the sheets if you'd like, of course, but please, for the sake of the children, keep the details short. What happens in your tent should stay there! (basically, please no highly detailed sex/intimacy scenes... hell, best to stay away from the romance genre in general, it's full of cliches). Take your time to decide; we've nothing but time to kill. Who knows, mayhaps in the time that I wait for your response, I'll have made new courses for us to travel upon. Keep in mind that we've our nifty time traveler, so the period in which we fight boredom matters not, only that we set out to defeat the fiend once and for all. Now then, these plans can tend to be a bit lengthy, so for right now, a few short synopses should suffice. The first I like to call The Mental Asylum. Now, this isn't the typical horror story you'd expect in those games younguns play, but rather a delve into actual mental problems... What? I never said they'd all be grand adventures full of glory, now did I? There's more than one way to kill the beast. Next is Vampiric Integration. Hah, this one's flexible. Can hardly even call it a plan if ya ask me. I suppose it's just a template for something much greater at play, eh? Well, don't expect your Twilight saga edge and angst. In this plan, we've got vampires that have been robbed of their powers... but maybe you can find a way to bring 'em back, eh? Now, this third one's one you might take a greater interest in if you want more action in your dull life. Set in a world that's about to end, fight through people you once knew, only now they're undead creatures dead set on killing you, or turning you into one of their own. Humans aren't completely lost though, they've got some powers of their own that can pack a punch. Well, that's the end of my little tal- Eh? What's this? I've never seen this before but...Oh well, might as well let you search through it. I've got no use for it. The plans, in detail: [hider=1: The Mental Asylum] Name: The Mental Asylum PS: THIS IS PROBABLY MY LEAST FAVORITE AND LEAST PLANNED Genre: Slice of Life/Hospital (if that can really be considered a genre) Time Period: Modern-ish Age: Anything from child to adult, doesn't matter. Characters: Have at least one detailed character consisting of backstory, physical description, and mental state. This will be your main. Any other, smaller characters are optional but should have at least [indent]some small detail. Side characters need very little detail.[/indent] The Idea: Everything is set in an ordinary world, much like our own, but different in small ways (mostly in part because I'm not fully (or even partially) educated on how mental asylums function and am [indent]mostly working off of books and documents I've read). The characters, in one way or another, find themselves in a mental asylum that's been operating for many years. The characters themselves are either in the asylum because of work or because they're patients themselves. The building itself has faced many renovations and is up to par with most modern buildings. Inside the asylum are many different wings, all of which house a different kind of patient. These wings include but are not limited to the Children's Wing, the Adult's Wing, the Suicidal Wing, Intensive Care, Trauma Recovery, etc. Some of these sections almost never meet, instead only ever seeing those in their own wing, though some patients are restricted to only seeing Asylum faculty. On occasion, maybe once a week, any and all stable patients (meaning anyone not volatile or violent) may choose to eat in the same canteen. Otherwise, meals are served in every wings' own canteens, or directly to the patient in their room. We would start our story through the eyes of a new employee. Depending on whether one, both or neither of you take the role of that employee, the start of the story will change slightly. If one or both of you take the role, then we will start with the dawn of the morning of the employee's(s') interview day. If neither of you takes the role, then the story will start with the new employee on a tour of the facilities. After that, the story unfolds however we may choose.[/indent] [/hider] [hider=2: Vampiric Intigration] Name: Vampiric Integration Genre: You Pick Time Period: You Pick (probably modern though) Age: [b]YOU PICK[/b] Characters: Have at least one detailed character consisting of backstory, physical description, and mental state. This will be your main. Any other, smaller characters are optional but should have at least [indent]some small detail. Side characters need very little detail.[/indent] The Idea: This idea is purely a pre-built world for any story to take place in. This world revolves around the fact that humans and vampires live in (relative) peace. This is only able to happen because[indent] an alternative to human blood is discovered for vampires to sustain themselves with. This alternative, however, strips the vampires of most of the superhuman abilities that they once had, as well as most downsides (I.E. the sun, garlic, holy water, the generic stuff). Because of their loss of superhuman status, the vampires are nothing more than somewhat monstrous humans. Long, sharp fangs that regrow if cut/shaved down, typically reddish eyes that are more narrow and pointed, and pale skin that's difficult to tan. Though the sun doesn't directly hurt them, they get easily sunburnt if out for too long. Needless to say, despite the vampires no longer using humans as food and now living in society, most humans still despise vampires, leading to great amounts of racism. Regardless, vampires and humans are equal by law, thus vampires are afforded all the rights that humans are given, provided that they don't feed on humans. Because of the hatred that they receive from humans, vampires will oftentimes try to blend in by shaving off their fangs (a very painful process) to make them look like normal teeth, and wearing colored contacts. However, human food is still toxic to vampires, thus, many vampires will eat small amounts in public, then void the poisons out in private later. Though not common, some vampires go feral, losing their ability to think straight and attacking humans in order to drink their blood. These ferals, as they're called, are usually killed immediately, though if they aren't dealt with quickly, they can grow into serious problems. About half of the victims of feral attacks die from injuries and blood loss, though the other half survive with minor wounds and bite marks. However, those who survive with these bite marks have high chances of contracting vampirism themselves. Those who are newly turned vampires tend to have difficulty retaining their newfound urges to feed, and those that are unable to comply with their new needs are typically locked away until they're able to suppress their vampiric hunger. Vampires that aren't turned are instead born, though the vampire population is relatively low. [/indent] P.S. Sorry if this is poorly written, I'm writing at 12:30 at night. [/hider] [hider=3: Powered Apocolypse] Name: Powered Apocolypse Genre: Post-Apoc, Action, Adventure, Fantasy, etc. Time Period: Modern Age: 16-40 (ish, I really don't care all too much, just a general guide) Characters: Have at least one detailed character consisting of backstory, physical description, and mental state. This will be your main. Any other, smaller characters should have a good bit of detail as [indent]well, though not as much as your main. There will be few side characters in this story... post-apocalypse and all. [/indent] The Idea: In a world... that is exactly the same as our own, everything changed when the cliche disaster event attacked. Okay, so this one's pretty (not) simple. Everything's hunky-dory until on the day that [indent]a solar eclipse is scheduled to appear, every human on earth simultaneously loses consciousness right at the climax of the event. Many who are in cars, planes, etc. die moments after the eclipse puts everyone asleep. Those who are lucky enough to be in a safer place when they go under win the grand prize of a coin flip. Heads, you live, tails, you become a walking, screaming corpse. Eerily similar to the typical zombies of today, these undead creatures are a bit more tricky. These special beings can only be destroyed after the core in their head has been completely destroyed. The core can be sized anywhere from a pea to a baseball, though every bit of it needs to be destroyed to kill the Undead. To the half of humanity that managed to not turn into an Undead, they now have to deal with what they could've become. The Undead are deadly killers. Much stronger, crazily fast, and undoubtedly more ferocious than the normal human, these Undead quickly rip humans asunder. However, the eclipse didn't only affect the half that became Undead. Those who remained human had a 75% chance to unlock some power within them. These powers are categorized into several categories, dumbed down into [i]Attack, Defense,[/i] and [i]Utility[/i]. Some of these powers include Electromancy, Blood Bending, Barrier, Cyclone, Foresight(really shitty and unpredictable future vision), and Pocket Storage, though there's great potential for creativity in powers. However, with every power comes a drawback. Blood Bending can only be done with the user's own blood, and that has to come from [b]SOMEWHERE[/b], and Electromancy can only be used so much before the user collapses from fatigue. About six months after the initial eclipse, another one happens. This eclipse brings about the Abnormals; Undead with their cores places in strange places. No longer will destroying the head be enough for some Undead. These Abnormals can have their cores anywhere, and there's no way to tell where it is. Anyways, details aside, we'd likely start the story with the morning of the first eclipse. This way, we get to see how our characters react to the mass anarchy that the end of the world causes.
