You and Lisette didn’t happen to get married, did you? Haha.” Syed didn't know it was possible to straighten up even more than he was already. But in his shock he managed it, a large spark of electricity jumping from his head to a nearby lamppost, causing the bulb inside to blow. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" he laughed a little too loudly, his eyes a bit too wide as he looked back towards the mage. He looked a little demented if anything, especially in his unkept, unshaven state. "No, of course not! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Moira was initially quiet, the cogs in her head almost visibly turning. Now Marcus mentioned it... "You got a new ring though." Syed instinctively shoved his hands in his pockets again. "So? I didn't marry Lisette! Maybe I just... got a ring last night..." he faltered, pushing his arms into his sides as if in an attempt to make himself as small as possible. "A ring I can't get off..." he added in a much quieter voice. Moira narrowed her eyes, before turning to Lisette. "Girl, is that why you were hidin' under the bed? Come on, show us your hands." They rounded the corner after Amy as she strolled mercilessly (and a bit wobbly) ahead, and sure enough were greeted by the angel-topped monument. The thing was huge, far too big for the small church which stood behind it. It was only then when Syed found his footsteps slowing, staring up at the monument in horrified realisation. What if it wasn't a church of Vayu? It'd be like the icing on the cake if it weren't - a betrayal of his faith to top it all off. He didn't recognise the name Saint Drega. He wasn't optimistic. He caught himself and had noticed the others had slowed too - Moira was giving him one hell of a curious look. He cleared his throat and hurried after Amy. Once they stepped into the church grounds, the jarring difference between the church and those surrounding them only became all the more obvious. It was almost as if the church had been here for years and years, with the rest of the resort growing around it. Even the doors seemed too big for the rest of the building. They came to a stop before these huge doors, in the shadow of the great monument behind them. Amy had waited for them somewhat impatiently, those scarlet nails of hers tapping against her folded arm. Syed looked around to the others nervously. They were all looking at him, waiting for him to make the first move. It was his suggestion to come here after all. "You can't hide whatever it is you're hiding forever," Moira grunted, looking increasingly annoyed by the minute. She didn't like being kept in the dark at all. "Okay." Syed took a deep breath, straightening up again. There was something which terrified him about the idea of trying to find out at least something which happened last night. Especially here. But it had to be done. Not only for the benefit of his friends, to try and find any sign at all of those who were missing... but for his sanity too. Once he had opened his eyes again his previous, shaky nervous self was gone, replaced with a look of quiet determination. "Okay, let's go." And with that he pushed the door open... then froze, arm outstretched as he held it open for the others. Okay what. Was that... was that the sound of guitars?! What kind of church was this?! Well, he could see someone who looked like they might be a priest. If you discounted the strange hair anyway. And just like that, it threw him right off again. "Um... excuse me?" he called. I want to go, I want to know Oh, won't you please take me home? I want to see, oh, look at me Oh, won't you please take me home? "Oh fuckin' get a move on!" Moira shouted, roughly pushing Syed through the door entirely. She then cast her eyes across the building, her eyes too settling on the wierd-haired man. Whom she promptly swept a finger down to point at somewhat dramatically. "OI! YOU!"
