Well, my labor of love on this character is complete!
Appearance

Name Kenneth King "My bestfriend says it makes me sound like a preschooler, but you can just call me KK, or K for short, but only maybe Kenny!" Kenneth to strangers, Kenny to his family, KK for friends, K when he wants to be mysterious, and Ken Doll only to his boyfriend. Earnestly, Kenneth's name is in no short supply. In fact, he shares that, a bright smile, and a handshake or (preferably) hug with anyone around him for more than a moment. For a long time, his name was between Elijah and Adam, and he wonders sometimes how different his life would be. Names matter. . Alias Savior "I've just been thinking a lot about that name, what it means for me; I just wanted to be called hero." It wasn't a name he chose. 'Savior of the Day!' just happened to be the headline that stuck. It worked, it was accurate, sure. The best part of it, though? What it means. When he empowers his abilities & puts on his suit, he believes himself to be an immovable power for unstoppable good. He saves people. It's all he ever wanted to do, and now he actually gets to do it everday. It's real. It's not a dream anymore. . Personality The Innocent ESFJ-A "I confess, I just don't know how to not help people; that's not something in me." Naturally (and supernaturally) a morning person, Kenneth gets up and goes about his life everyday with a few things. Principally above them all, a smile; to soften hearts, sow hope, to instill faith, and love humanity more than they love him. No matter who you are, where you've come from, or what you've done will stop Kenneth from coming to you in your hour of need. No matter the creeds a person's taken up, or chains Kenneth himself may have had to put them in, all are deserving of goodness and grace. While he's not tutoring a classmate, taking in another stray dog, or helping his moms with a bake sale, Kenneth doesn't know what he wants. Sometimes he thinks his heart is a well, and while it might always provide, it too shall always be a pit. No one could ever know that about the young hero though, so if he had to pick one thing? Just being. Not doing anything at all in the whole world with the boy he loves. Of course, every time, he can't deny his nature and be still with him for long.

Alignment Lawful Good Hero "This shouldn't even be a choice." Kenneth just doesn't get evil. What's the point of anything if everything is chaos around you, and you're the one who caused it? Neither can he tolerate it as a means to the end. Justice may not always be beautiful, but it must always be good. This is to say that he believes himself the jury in the long trial of life. He wants the truth. He wants to see the good in people. He wants to know he did something good. Kenneth also wants it done right. There has to be a way to order even good, or it becomes a wanton witness to the world rather than a defender of it. So, yes, maybe Kenneth's judgment may fall, but his testimony for the same individual with rise above it all. With every breath, Kenneth will capture every good in his palms, refuse to lay his eyes on the bad or ugly, and will face it all with a smile. If he's learned anything in his four years of duty, it's that a smile saves the day every time. Not the collateral saved from damage, not how many lives you whisk away in your arms, or how big the monster you fell, and especially not the story told after. If he can't even smile, what can he do for anyone? Soon after his debut, and to this day, Savior is known as the Smiling Hero, for all who've seen him in action can attest he'd charge through hellfire to keep it that way. . Archetype Everyman (Wildcard) Demi-God "I'm just a boy from Queensville." When Kenneth dons his glowing, white suit—with it's red S within a heart and over his own—he wears the legacy of higher beings as a mantle. He honors their legacy, but he declined the opportunity to be one of them years ago once they found the power had awoken in a new vessel. Instead, he leans on his mentor & once holder of such power, Amaterasu, to shape him into the ultimate guardian. Even still, he must balance his natural abilities along with his stolen gift. Along with his identity. Despite all the power within him, the monsters he's slayed, and the people he's saved, he's still stuck at fifteen years old just wanting a simple life that'd be good to others. Maybe it's just easier, or maybe it's the hardest thing he'll ever do, but he won't let go of anything or anyone he's been with in life. He wants it all. That is what makes him strong. . Power Power Mimicry "I like chameleons, but I always considered myself more a unicorn." Awoken within him while trying to save the life the dying hero, Amaterasu. Both of Kenneth's natural abilities were at their absolute peak the first time they triggered, yet—to only his & her knowledge—they've never been the same again. While still carrying her powers as a default, he must now switch between sets of powers he's mimicked within the last twelve hours. His vector of this copying comes from those he directly came into physical contact with. Diminishing as it is, every time he copies a new set of powers he must take longer cool-downs, the abilities last shorter, and his version of their powers grow weaker and weaker. Even Amaterasu' powers are finally starting to fade in increments. It's his most well guarded secret and greatest fear of the inevitable day when he no longer can be considered super. ...
"I don't know why fate chose me to have this primal force within me, but I shall honor its law until the day the sun won't shine on me!" From the now retired hero, Amaterasu who was first to witness and be afflicted by his abilities. Doctors still believe it was her brush with death that'd taken the heroine's powers, but both she & Kenneth know. She doesn't hold it against him, and in fact asked him to be her successor. He is now prince to the Primordial Sun, an entity one of the first born from the chaos long before life both divine or mortal, and before magic as well. History has been lost and no story to tell it could be true with how ancient it is. However, three things are common among those aware of the truth. There were Primordials, then Gods who sought power, and finally Humans who dared to claimed such power calling it magic. There was a war that's never ended, and the spellcasters consecrated their magic as a weapon. While magic on Earth may have been another story, Amaterasu was the last of her people from across the stars. When she finally fell in battle on Earth, the Primordial Sun agreed with her and deemed it right to take the weight of her ethereal crown as a heir, and give it Kenneth, who still doesn't know why. And so, the First Sun who gave rebirth to the Last Son. Amaterasu herself, a woman several hundred years old with the look of thirty, and once proud conqueror for light taught, and is still teaching him in be both wise and a warrior. She has her work cut out for her. Super-Strength Flight Super-Speed [sup]Which must be charged up[/sup] Heliokinetic Blasts [sup]At the expense of stamina[/sup] Invulnerability [sup]Unless magical in nature[/sup]
Power Absorption "I don't enjoy you on your knees, but I will bring you down if I must." Kenneth can drain the life-blood of the supernatural abilities within others, empowering himself while they are rendered weak or powerless if allowed. The caveats are not only a physical contact requirement, but since their peak at his first use of his abilities, he can no longer use his Power Mimicry at the same time. Additionally, only the next set of powers will gain the boost. Besides this, depending on the raw power of he's absorbing decides how long he can hold it within him; the stronger the shorter. . Weakness Magic "Okay, so Amaterasu did tell me, but I just remember it as pokémon types? Yeah." The analogy isn't totally wrong. It just makes simple the incredibly intricate story of more than ancient forces, forgetten casters, and dead gods amongst a time long lost. In short, magic has so long since been the counter against the source of Amaterasu's power that it eventually became like poison to her kind. Because Kenneth's powers default to what once was hers, so does he share her weaknesses. Magical items weaken Kenneth, magical forces can bring him to heel, and the presence of true and pure magic could shorten his life. Mimicking another's set of powers does abate, but not negate this weakness. ... Morality "I will never turn my face from the light within me and every person, but I will judge all darkness there too!" Kenneth will fall for every trap, risk his life, sacrifice victory, or submit if it means he'll serve good. Because there's a difference between good done wrong or right, he does things by the book and the aforementioned is exactly how. In the absolute, it doesn't matter what feels good. There's only one truth to Kenneth. What is good is what's done right, does right, and will do right. Beneath his bubbly surface, the calm and the storm, is an unbreakable heart; even if bending could save his life. ... Diurnal "Which, y'know, is a shame seeing as my generation doesn't sleep till midnight, and evil never does." Amaterau's powers were bestowed directly from the first star to give life to a world; the first sun. As such, as long as her power shines within Kenneth, so shall this light's potence lie & rise with the sun of Earth. Which is not to say he's powerless as the moon is only illuminated by the sun, but rather his energy is finite and his endurance fainter.

Age 19 "I know I'm young, but I started this younger, and I promise you that I do my best." Kenneth's formative years were spent under the wing of his eldest sister Karen, and under the kind gaze of his older brother, Kai. An athletic little tyke, he carried his love of running around and playing sports to school with him. He always had a joyful disposition, and this won over the many friends he came to have growing up. When puberty starting hitting around eleven, Kenneth slowly over the years began to realise that some of the guys he really wanted to "befriend" were actually crushes. When a bad boy half-mockingly flirted with him, at fourteen, he was enamored to discover said other boy was also half-serious. His life seemed to pick up from here as it was fifteen year old Kenneth who saved the life of someone he'd actually dreamed of meeting one day. From there, a scarlet s was emblazoned over his heart and everyone knew it. The following years were a flash of love, perill, hope, fear, faith, both chaotic order and justified recklessness. He made mistakes. He saved lives. He lost people along the way he thought would stick by him. Kenneth wouldn't trade any of it even for everything. . Biography Childhood "We look different, we act even more so, but if we love one another, what does it matter?" A dog, two parents, three children, and even a white picket fence painted the picture of Kenneth's home life. The lad doesn't have memories before he wanted to be a hero. His parents would be hard pressed to come up with a time either, and they had adopted him as an infant. From a young age he had a calling, and his parent's fostered what they deemed to be childish fanaticism with costumes and computer access to watch videos of his favorites online on repeat. Karen would tease him, Kai patiently listened to his rambling, but his mothers didn't have it in them to let the appearingly powerless hopes down. They knew wanted to be like them all. None more of his dreams than Amaterasu, the Sun on Earth Hero. Adolescence "You can't win this fight because I have a date tonight!" Kenneth's mothers never had to wake up from his dreams because the world did. He was examined, cried himself to sleep, and the next morning picked up the broken pieces of his fantasy and blaze his own trail. Still with no manifested powers by the age of age of twelve, he figured if he couldn't be a superhero he'd be an everyday hero. No one was going to take this from him. He busied and buried himself with journaling about real heroes and ways to live by example, and then doing it. He didn't know who he was without that dream, and he would be damned before he found out. In that way he learned to be very stubborn and stuck his nose where it didn't belong, but always followed something stronger than anyone's gut. His heart led him through life, and it guides him still. . Storylines Neighborhood Savior "I can't change the world if I let the world change me." After saving legendary hero, Amaterasu's, life, and becoming Savior... not much changed really. Most of his generation was desensitized to heroes & the fanfare about them like of his grandparents, so the most he got was a few hundred Instagram followers and the respect of the elderly. He wasn't even verified on Twitter! Which, actually, suited him. Life was easy. Well, scratch that, there were now monsters of both the human and preternatural variety either coming for him or having to be stopped. Not to mention his very idol became his very own super-tutor on the weekends! Yet every Monday, he still went to school. When he turned sixteen, he got the chummy nickname 'The King of McKing' for working there part-time, and just at the turn of nineteen did he move in with his highschool sweetheart. Kenneth can't chose either side of him. He only knows how to be a both a hero and a kid at the same time, because the world didn't change, so neither did he. There was still right and wrong, and no amount of classes, power, freedom, or bills can change that. Outside of his control however is the fact that balance only last so long before the scales tip. ... Hand of the Man "You know the rules! If I have to remind you they're more than words, my actions will." Power demands order. That is the first thing Amaterasu taught Kenneth. It needs it or else it will consume absolutely. None can satisfy the lust for power, and few can resist it. Thus, those who can must make the rules. If everyone plays fair, how could anything bad ever happen? So what if someone's going to break them? If you do too you admit to being wrong, and standing proud in that is slope so slippery you didn't even notice you're falling. There's no need to fear however as Kenneth will be there to catch anyone who slips through the cracks whether they want to dug from the pit or not. When duty calls to serve his country like so, Kenneth's answer is already chosen. He will save them all. ... Fall From Grace "How long do you think light can last if shadows surround it?" Enough. If the world must survive off of one extreme to the next then Savior is about a world better. Literally. Kenneth is done fighting a perpetual war with his hands tied behind his back. The Primordial Sun chose him. He has celestial power coursing through him, and he's not going to give it up or give up on evil. If cosmic forces wanted him to return to them once, they'll take him again, and as he finds a way to the heart of their power it will be the same as when he returns: nothing will stop him. One universe, one order, one world at a time. Starting with Earth. . Notes
"So, yeah, this is my life. Work in the morning, write during the day, and juggle schoolwork and a social life at night. Savior on the other hand...?" A news blog by and about himself. He always did love keeping note of the lives & stories of other heroes before he became one. Saving photos wherever he could find them online eventually led him to taking them himself. Even now, he takes any excuse with his heroic colleagues to fan over them & beg for tales, tips, and tricks! Though of course this makes the champion of the Sun on Earth the fanboy at the adult's table.
