So I ended up dragging you all in at the same time.. y'know I kind of only wanted one big super powerful monster lord as my champion. But now I ended up splitting my gift over all of you! The Voice would echo in your head, it was a tired voice, as if the person had been operating on low energy for the longest time, but it also hinted at a much more fiery nature...

World Mechanics (New stuff will be added to the 0th Post)
[Hider=Gods]
The gods of this world are purely mechanical constructs infinitely more complex then the pioneering technologies of the world (The windmill/watermill is comparatively new in terms of a Invention sense). For the gods truly are not human, for where a man has flesh and bone, a god has jewels, metals, and beautiful polished wood. The angels of the gods are more akin to mecha then beings of light most commonly depicted.

There are four types of magic that govern this world, Arcana, Primal, Natural, and System. The first two are the schools of magic, while the latter two are natural born things such as a wingless drakes ability to fly, or a gods dominon over something. As such only the first two will be listed at length below

[i]Having the book but not the words [/i]
The standard magic in this world, although originally popularised by humans as a result of the god of magics pet project, due to the ease of learning the basics of its magical principles and its relative low risk factor. This magic has become the mainstay. When one speaks of magic in this world this is the type they are usually talking about.
This Magic operates on two factors, Cost of incantation, and time taken for incantation to take effect. 

First the main casting vector of the spells of the Arcana class are one worded cries to focus the final magic energy into form. However much more complex rituals can have paragraphs or even entire books worth of words that must be recited in full. The words of Arcana rituals are usually specifically worded gibberish used to focus magical energy in as specific way
The cost of the incantation is very easy to understand, it is simply either a point of Stamina coupled with ones own excess of Spiritual essence (Mana) Mana is regained through either natural means (Sleeping/meditation) or artificial (Potions/Mana Transference) or through the destruction of ritual components to stabilise a spell. 

Finally the most important factor is time taken for an incantation to occur. For novice mages a simple fireball may take a minute. For masters it is but a thought. This is due to the spiritual energy required to pass out from the user into the spell itself. As such it requires training like a muscle, and may even display affinity for certain types of magic (common among different species) or even be at the level of a master at birth as if already fully opened to the magical energies of the world (a magical prodigy)

True mastery of this magic isn't when one has learnt how to cast as many spells as possible, but when one has refined a (reproducible) technique to cast 1 spell fast and efficiently, such a method us how some spells come to have the names of the one that refined it for usage in front of it, Such as Jin's Fireball. As such to be regard as a master of magic, one must create their own, and master it, spreading that knowledge to others under their tutelage

Primal magic is the second type of magic, and can be seen in some regards as a much less safe and much more volatile version at the cost of being much easier to learn magic. 

Primal magic is used entirely by knowing a specific set of words and by reciting them a specific effect will always occur, However unlike magic, the cost must be paid in full by the casters body, their own soul, health, lifespan, everything must ne wagered as potential cost for the spell to take. Unlike Arcana which will simply fail if the cost is not met.

In turn however it allows even a weak spellcaster to use something powerful, however the cost would usually always be fatal, unless the spell itself was very weak. 

There are two forms of primal magic in this world

The scriptures of the main religion of the land: These are the known primal magics that have been taught and recited by dedicated choirs of people, theses passages are regarded as holy, as they tell stories of the creation of the world, allowing one to in some small scale replicate the feat. These scripture are primary Elemental based spells, Healing spells, Summoning spells, and in one instance a spell where the cost is surely death, for use as last resort for martyrdom

Reclaimed Verses; As the scholars of Arcana attempt to innovate new spells, they may in some regards accidentally reproduce the exact words for a Primal magic (Monkeys on a typewriter) these are usually recorded and kept a secret, for each word of such a spell is worth many times its weight in gold, and thus makes an ample bargaining chip if a mage wished to get away with more... Heretical things. In order to get the church to look the other way. Reclaimed verses can vary greatly.
