Ultimately it comes down to my ideas building for a CMC being more Military-than-Trek, but possibly feeling rather more generic than I care for, or a very Classic Trek Science Dork who finds this whole crisis a "fascinating field case study" but is very much a departure from the military aspects everyone, myself included, seems to like the idea of incorporating.

I think I would enjoy the Science Officer, who is rather out of place in this heightened state of militarism. Though I would like to say that it's been almost two decades since the Dominion War so he would've spent his entire career, or most of it, in this militarized force.
