Though a pack of new sounds caught her attention. Looking off at the far side of the room she noticed as a group of what appeared to be velociraptors charged out, seeming to focus their attention towards Casey. Jo was about to rush to her aid though a sight caught the corner of her eye. Before she had time to react she saw the large tail sweeping towards her just before impact. The large muscular tail slammed into her square in the chest; sending her soaring back through the air, crashing hard into the solid floor, and sending her body tumbling until slamming powerfully into the far off wall. Jo sat there, back rested against the now cracked wall from her impact. Her body was stoic, near motionless but appearing conscious to some degree - her disks of light fallen flat on the floor beside her. Jo expected pain, or even fear. But her senses were dull. Her vision blurred and tunneled as they stared down at her own lap. She felt numb. As if the pain throughout her body was too much to process, so her mind simply didn't allow herself to register it. She felt oddly peaceful. Like she was in a world now of her own, no longer surrounded by danger and fear. A serene void that beckoned her to advance, to let it take her. She wanted to fight it, but she couldn't find the strength to battle its pull. Her disks of light beginning to break down, letting small sparkles of its magic to dance upwards into the air as its solidity faded. Before long the disks faded entirely, dissipating into the air. Slowly Jolene's tipped over, her body sliding along the wall before she collapsed on the floor; a streak of red following against the wall from where her head once laid. As her light faded her connection to Vertigo broke. Her energy returning to the Earth from where she had borrowed it.
