She quickly and gently pulled the handcuffs off of her and her eyes widened with shock. Artemis stared at them as if she had never seen them prior to now and smiled with relief. She began flexing her fingers and roll her neck and shoulders. Loud pops were heard as she extended herself. Artemis let her arms down slowly, as not to startle Myra, and turned to watch her run off to the water source. For a moment, she was confused until the demon returned holding water in her hands. Despite it not being her request, Artemis began to drink the water quickly. Her throat burned savagely. The last she had ate or drank had been the previous night. The Dark Elves wouldn't allow her anymore so she wouldn't have enough strength to rebel against them. How did that workout, she thought? Her sheer will and determination had been enough for her to act on. When she was done drinking the water, she turned to the interesting man named Darius. His words at first piqued her curiosity, then her expression darkened. Her once warm expression grew dark and stormy. Castle? What castle? Does he mean, Aklenroth's? The shear thought of him caused her to emanate another low growl. That stupid son of a bitch; she would rather die in these woods than return there. Still, these two were nice to her; but what would happen if she returned to the castle? Artemis shook her head. No, no, no. She would never set foot or tail in that treacherous place. Her thoughts began to trail off until he mentioned returning her home to Earth. This silly boy thought she was a human and proved he was not a merman. Artemis tried to fight back laughter, but a few chuckles escaped her. "You're a delight," Artemis began to stand up on her shaky legs. Her scales were shining, despite the abuse they ahd been suffering. She began to shiver and glanced towards the water. She needed to go to the water; she hadn't fully submerged into water in over ten hours. Her body was beginning to grow sick. The Dark Elves and Orc had figured she'd make due in the bucket until arriving in her new dungeon and would go straight into the tank. Artemis knew if she went that it would be next to impossible to escape. The snowy mountain would have been far too treacherous for her to maneuver on her own. She shakily started to limp towards the forest and let out a few rattled breaths. Her lungs were drying up from the lack of moisture. Artemis tried to move, but her knees unbuckled. Artemis fell back onto the forest floor and gasped in air. Her hair covered miserable expression. She clutched the grass with a scowl while self-hatred filled her due to her lack of ability to walk. Determination flowed through her as she began to crawl towards it. "I need to... To get to the water. Please.." Tears filled her eyes as she started to cough and shake. Artemis knew going deep in the forest would not the wisest, but she had survived worse and wasn't afraid of it. That begged the question of her companions? She didn't know about them; they were nice but it was suspicious as well. How did they randomly find her? Still, she didn't want another innocent person getting hurt because of her. She gritted her teeth and weighed the odds of survival. If she didn't find the fresh water soon, she would dehydrate and begin to start dying. She hadn't come this far, to only come this far. Artemis beat the grass with her fists in frustration, then attempted to crawl towards the water.
