[b][u]Personality:[/u][/b] For the most part, Akane is professional in her work (if a bit snarky). However, she's reasonable, and unlike some of the other Zasshu Liaisons, she tries to treat them like normal teenagers. Off the clock, however, she's a bit of a slob, and enjoys drinking a bit too much. Despite how much she drinks, it hasn't really affected her work, aside from bad headaches and occasionally running late.
[b][u]Backstory:[/u][/b] Born to a family of refugees from Japan, Akane lived in New San Francisco until it was destroyed in a territorial dispute between Isonade and Balaur. After that, her father joined the TDI as a soldier, and once Akane was old enough she followed in his footsteps. Seventeen years ago her entire squad was wiped out by Asura in Hawaii. Afterwards she was approached by an officer from TDI's research division and offered a safe, relatively easy job: a liaison for a then-undisclosed project.
[b][u]Other:[/u][/b] - Despite her tendencies, Akane has wanted to settle down for years, but between work and the current state of the human race, it seems unlikely.
- Is viewed by Shirona as a sort of big-sister figure, and was inadvertently the one who started her obsession with pre-WWIII pop culture by giving her a CD player.
- Often has nightmares of the destruction of New San Francisco.
