The scaly patterns over them sparkled as the light coming through the trees hit them. Darius didn't think about moving to Artemis' side, he just did it. He wasn't sure what was wrong with her, but she needed to get to the body of water beyond the trees ahead. Darius could see Artemis wasn't just begging to go, she was fighting to. Her breaths were strained, her body trembled, but Darius had her.
