Serenity's personality goes hand in hand with the meaning of her first name; she's serene like the clear blue sky after a heavy downpour, and ever calm and collected like her biological father, the man she was named after. She resides with her mother, step-father, and step-brother in her birthplace, Compton, California, where she is a stellar eighth grade student with an affinity for art.

Christmas is one of Serenity's favorite holidays, coming in second place behind Halloween. She absolutely adores the Christmas music that her parents play every December morning, the bright and colorful decorations that adorn each house or apartment building on her block, and the cheesy holiday movies that she practically forces her little brother to watch with her on school nights. Although she is old and mature enough to know that Santa Claus isn't real, she still goes out of her way to leave milk and freshly baked cookies out on Christmas Eve simply because she wants to keep the magic alive for her younger sibling. Meeting up with the rest of her family for the holiday season is something that Serenity surely looks forward to; her mother has always told her that family is the most important thing in the world, which is what she has grown to see and believe for herself. She can't wait to hang out and play around with her cousins when they get to the lodge.

Though a few of them may get on her nerves from time to time, Serenity can definitely say that she loves each and every one of her family members dearly. She and her mother share a bond unlike any other, and although she just met her step-father and step-brother a few years ago, she loves them and treats them as if they were her own blood. The same applies to her grandparents and host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
