Until then, he had the whole crew kept on high alert for incoming projectiles. While their shields might last for a few hits, he doubted they'd be able to sustain an extended barrage, and with their ships weapons and engines in a weakened state due to the jump, it was an outcome he wanted to avoid if possible.
