Personality: Kotaro is an optimistic, overly curious young lad with a strong sense of morality, believing that justice can be served in this world and no crime would be left unpunished.  An up and comer detective who wants to prove to the world that he got what he takes to decipher even the toughest of mysteries. His laidback persona and his calculating demeanor are one of the many traits that stand out the most. An obsession developed from watching and reading too many detective/buddy cop movies.

Biography: Kotaro is a young private eye residing in Fuyuki and a below-average mage who happens to stumble in the affairs of the holy grail war. He was never really magus material to say the least, flunking out of mage academy. not that his inept but it just bores him and doesn't have the aptitude to pursue being a magus. His family is relatively new to the game as well as it did not do him any favors either.

So much so that He shifted his career to criminology with his gifts, studying in London and moving into Japan, starting on his own P.I. firm at the heart of Fuyuki the moment he graduated, Renting a cheap-ass apartment, just waiting for his business to pick up.

Baritsu-  is an Oriental martial art that is extremely combat-oriented. Other than employing striking techniques that combine this skill with boxing, grappling, cane fighting and kickboxing.
