She left her office and walked down the hall, picking up on a noticeable change in temperature. The young woman didn't think much of it and grabbed the edges of her jacket as she hugged herself. The silence in that entire floor didn't bother her much at all as she'd made that same trip plenty of times before. A few moments later, Elena pushed open the door to the ladies' room. She walked inside and a slight feeling of dread crept up on her. She became a little confused since she wasn't under any sort of stress at the moment, but nonetheless she went ahead to use the toilet. Elena kept her eyes on the door to her stall. She didn't want to be surprised, although she wasn't sure what she was looking out for. Once she was done, she quickly flushed the toilet and exited the stall, heading to the nearest sink to wash her hands. The faucet was motion activated and turned on as she placed her hands below it, and simultaneously, someone started humming from within one of the stalls. Startled, Elena looked at the stalls from their reflection in the mirror. She wasn't aware someone had been in there with her, and as she listened on, she realized the voice sounded like a child's. The idea was crazy given she was still in the university and it was beyond business hours. Elena was about to leave when the humming was replaced by a scream, and she froze. She called out to whomever was in there with her, but then the lights started flickering and blood started seeping from the walls. Elena reacted immediately, rushing to the door and running all the way back to her office without looking back. This occurred two days ago, and she hasn't told anyone, not even her husband. 【 BIOGRAPHY 】 Elena was born and raised in Moscow as an only child. Her father was a highly decorated military officer, and her mother was a nurse. Growing up in a financially stable family, she had the chance to do quite a bit of travel, visiting places such as Australia, Japan, and some parts of Europe. Her grandparents on her father's side had passed down their wealth to them, and they made sure Elena was well taken care of. Academically, Elena did fine growing up. Her teachers rarely had a complaint about her as she was quiet and kept to herself most of the time. She was involved in a couple of fights on the playground, but only because other students would tease her for the hell of it, calling her a loner and such. Elena had a very few select friends whom she would see on her time off as they lived a bit far from her. They were a very tight-knit group despite the distance. When Elena was 14, her parents abruptly moved to the UK. She was shocked to say the least when she first heard the news, and her initial reaction was to lock herself in her room and cry. Since that afternoon, she made it a habit to hang out with her friends as much as she could until moving day. By then, Elena was sick of pleading her parents to stay. They kept stating that they had to relocate for a job, and the girl knew she wasn't going to get any more information out of them. She accepted her fate and worked through the process, from packing and giving stuff away to saying her final goodbyes. In the UK, Elena quickly learned English in order to be able to get around. She'd taken some classes prior to the move as part of her curriculum in school, but she wasn't all that fluent. A girl named Riley in one of her classes befriended her, and despite the initial language barrier, the two grew very close. With time, Elena became more social, hanging out with friends, going to parties, and dating. During one of those nights out, she met a guy named Alexei through a mutual friend. He was also Russian, but they found out they had a lot more in common than just their nationality. After a few dates, Elena and Alexei became a couple, and they grew so close they eventually got engaged and married. Elena went on to school to get her graduate degree in psychology while Alexei got into the legal field and became an attorney. The two had job offers upon graduation, but they had a nice and long talk about possibly heading back to Russia, and in the end they both agreed on the move. Elena had some family in Sonina and they figured the small town lifestyle would be better suited for them given that they wanted to start a family soon, though they would come to find out such goal was easier said than done.
