Age - 27 Race - Human Brief Bio - Nareia was born the daughter of an Incom Corporation engineer, Tahje Norre, on the world of Fresia, where she grew up sharing her father’s love and fascination with both developing starships, working on them, and even flying them. Her idea of playing was looking through her father’s manuals and watching him work on ships while incessantly asking questions about his process. She was taught how to handle a fusioncutter by eight, and was already flying beside her father in a Z-95 by the time she turned twelve. Intending to become a part of the Incom Corporation and help shape new ships to fly herself, Nareia’s dreams were shattered by the Empire’s desire to embed themselves with the company. Her father had decided to abandon the company and throw his lot in with the Alliance, bitterly against the Empire’s interference, and Nareia had joined him without question. They had lived a life largely free from their cold grip, but weren’t ignorant of the fact that not all in the galaxy could be so lucky. Silently supporting the Alliance’s efforts from a distance all this time, this would ultimately be the push he needed to finally help free the galaxy beside them. Having assisted in getting them prototype T-65 X-wings in development, and passing on the knowledge of their whereabouts on the planet, he was one of many scientists and engineers who aided in adding their power to the ranks of the Alliance. For a while she was satisfied with assisting in starship maintenance, but the destruction of Alderaan had ignited a fire inside her that she could not quell by standing by. She stepped away from her engineering lifestyle to become a pilot and fly against the Empire, her father giving her his blessing after a lengthy discussion. Taking courses from veteran pilots and impressing each one of them over time, Nareia had quickly risen from rookie to elite within a year of following her new path. She did not shy away from any mission whether it was simply a patrol, an escort, or striking at Imperial targets. This also applied to starship usage; while fond of her own X-wing, she had volunteered to fly alongside multiple squadrons using a variety of ships necessary to complete assignments, including A-wings, Y-wings, and T-47 Speeders. Showing rapidly increasing skills in each fighter used by the Alliance, her flexibility allowed Alliance High command to shift her around multiple active squadrons, never remaining in one for too long. Her efficiency and dedication to the cause had eventually gotten the attention of Wedge Antilles, one of the survivors of the Battle of Yavin, who had invited her to join the ranks of Rogue Squadron, originally created by Luke Skywalker, comprised of some of the best pilots the Alliance had to offer. Flying as Rogue Six, she had assisted in over a dozen strikes on Imperial targets prior to the Battle of Endor, where Rogue Squadron had been temporarily named Red Squadron to honor those that destroyed the first Death Star. As Red Six, she assisted in providing cover for the most vulnerable frigates during the Battle of Endor. When the shield over the incomplete super-weapon was brought down thanks to Han Solo and his ground team, she joined Wedge and the other remaining pilots in the assault on the Death Star’s core, eventually assisting in diverting the attention of several TIE pilots from Wedge and Lando Calrissian who ultimately saw to the battle station’s destruction. Faction - The New Republic Nareia joined the New Republic due to a belief in democracy, and to honor the Republic that fell years prior to the Galactic Civil War. She believed her talents as a pilot served the Rebel Alliance better than her engineering skills alone. Personality - "Give it everything you've got!" Nareia is fiercely loyal to the New Republic and very much against the Imperial Remnant, strictly believing that nothing short of their unconditional surrender will guarantee the safety of the New Republic and the galaxy. Her attitude among friends is lighthearted, playful even--a complete opposite to her persona during assignments where she is turned into a calculating, focused weapon of the acting Squadron Leader. She can and will follow orders through, rarely needing to go against them for the benefit of herself or her people. Never one to put herself before the team or the mission, her career has not benefited from acts of daring. If there is a hotshot pilot among their squadron, it is never herself. She leaves the showboating to the others. A weakness of hers is that she takes the loss of her fellow pilots harshly, the temptation to let her emotions get the better of her always knocking at her mental door. Her blood boils and her hands shake; eventually she recovers, and readjusts her strategies based on what remains, what needs to be protected, and what has to be destroyed for the mission to be complete. Despite her failings in the past, she believes she is ready to take on a more prominent role in the New Republic's fleet operations. But she also understands that team cohesion and trust has to grow over time, not just among Squadron pilots but also between military personnel. She seeks to earn the trust of her wingmen and superiors and prove she has what it takes to lead men and women into battle like so many before her. Standing at 5’9, Nareia’s militaristic lifestyle has given her a body reflecting it. Lean muscle encompasses her from head to toe, yet does nothing to conceal the curves and femininity that bore great fruit in her late teens. An ample bosom and thick thighs lie hidden beneath her choice of wear. Her nails and eyes are kept trimmed, and her black hair is cut short for efficiency both on the ground and in the sky. The mild scent of berries wafts around her, specifically the region around her neck; a perfume from Fresia used modestly and with barely a squirt placed, just to remind her of the home she left behind with her father. Her outfit on assignment is a standard Rebel Flight Suit with no modifications made. This is to prevent herself being distinguished from any other pilot, as they are all fighting the same fight, and so she wears the exact same suit as all others. Her casual wear is a sleeveless black shirt beneath a dark brown vest with four pockets, two on each side, as well as a holster on her inner left flap to draw a blaster in a dire situation. Black fitted pants and boots wrap up the simple attire. Equipment - DL-44 Blaster Comlink Fusioncutter Ship (Optional) - T-65 X-wing w/ Astromech Unit R2-P3

Born in Naboo, Rayce is the youngest son of Rhys Dallows, a skilled pilot who fought and helped destroy the Droid Control Ship that blockaded Naboo several years prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars. A very by-the-books pilot, Rayce takes minimal risks in combat operations and is one of the more cautious pilots in Rogue Squadron. His experience working in the Royal Naboo Security Force prior to joining the Rebellion had given him the skills necessary to fit anywhere. But, much like his father before him, Rayce preferred being within a cockpit and coming to the defense of others from above. Prefers X-wings, as they remind him of the NSF’s back home. Unfortunately, he couldn’t take one with him. Like X-wings, his skillset is balanced; he can fit any role necessary to complete the mission with unshakable concentration. Heavily prefers protection and escort duty, and is the first to show up for any military briefing with Nareia.

A wisecracking ace with striking eyes, Kyrin comes from Nar Shaddaa. A failed smuggler, the decision to join the Rebel Alliance came from a job offer he couldn't refuse, but his background brought understandable hesitance from those that recruited him. Taking to the skies on trial runs, the invitation into the Rebellion was due to a dire need of experienced volunteers rather than complete trust. He showed exemplary handling in the cockpit of borrowed Z-95’s and, once cleared for A-wing fighters, Kyrin had found a new gig: blasting Imperials out of the skies. As a pilot, he has only a handful of rivals within the Alliance, most of which are within Rogue Squadron. He is a capable combatant in ground operations as well, and can hold his own with some of the Empire’s best sharpshooters and brawlers. Often competes with Rogue Seven for kills during combat operations, and is a heavy flirt who claims to know how to talk his way out of nearly any situation. Great instinct for a ‘failed’ smuggler, though not as focused as Nareia. Prefers RZ-1 A-wing interceptors and baiting numerous foes, risking his own life for others to accomplish their tasks.

A short, chatty girl around 5’2, Alara is known as one of the most talkative pilots around, a mechanism to help fight the anxiety of an assignment. Born in wealth on Corulag, she grew up with a fascination for all things alien and abnormal compared to her. She took education seriously and studied hard, even for fun, foregoing much playing outside to understand the other species that inhabited the galaxy, and only left it to get into droid work. Out of numerous expensive items, the best gift she ever asked for was an R6 unit, R6Z6 or “ZeeZee” for short, which she has kept with her to this day. As a massive fan of other cultures, Alara knows countless languages and the planets and people they come from – yes, even Shyriiwook. Her work with droids and computer interfaces growing up has made her skilled in repairing them as well as expanding their skillsets with various modifications, willingly of course, and gaining access to consoles with computer spikes and mischievous tampering. For reasons unknown to everyone she speaks to, she left a life of wealth and comfort to defend the indefensible. Something was calling for her to take action, and that voice was becoming stronger, day by day. As one of the newest members of Rogue Squadron, she hasn't the track record or the experience to be taken as seriously as the others. Wedge and Nareia saw the makings of a good pilot, and a leap of faith has been rewarded with a fast learner with sharp instincts and even sharper eyes. Prefers the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor, as she loves maneuverability. The habit of spinning and swerving has made her one of the most evasive pilots in the Rebellion, as well as the most frustrating to lock on, posing a challenge for even the most skilled of pilots to target. Excels as a scout, and is a lethal shot. The descendant of a Jedi Master in the days of the Old Republic, Alara's Force Sensitive nature has allowed her to feel danger before it's happened, providing her a unique talent in detecting enemies before they reveal themselves.

The names of two of these pilots having blood relation to two figures of Legends content is not important to who they are; I was a fan of Rhys in the old Starfighter game just because the ships are awesome, and Onasi is just a neat last name--he isn't the Force Sensitive, obviously. With that said, if the names make you uncomfortable, I'll find a new one. I highly doubt anyone--except Alara--could pinpoint Kyrin's relation to a Republic Admiral about four thousand years ago. And even if she could, not exactly relevant to him either way.
