"if you two continue to talk i will be" he says to Catherine and Jessica.  He wanted Catherine to make a new friend.  He was worried that she wouldnt find Mary again and he wanted her to that girlfriend. He thought Jessica was a nice enough girl.  he walked back over to the jukebox and played some of his favorite 80's music.
