Blurb: 

Dashara Horizon, a minor pirate, pokes a Black Market dealer about a rumor. After getting an unusual lightsaber through a mutually satisfying arranging, she leaves. Little did she know the lightsaber had been bait set out by the Inquisitor Kurin Tonaal. As the sith watches, he tests her abilities and skills. First flushing her out of the village she spends a night in then compounding her ship. 

Eventually he locates and approaches her. Cautious of tales about the Sith, Dash attempts to escape. She fails being caught into the Sith's stasis. After being knocked out, Dash wakes to find out she's not the only one imprisoned on the Inquisitor's ship. Another young girl named Mahree Mis-ede, who had her parents slaughter before her eyes. 

During the little over week long trip, Dash and Mahree get to know each other creating a stronger bond. Occasionally they are exposed to Sith through holovids and interaction with Tonaal. Still determined to escape, Dash and Mahree gradually begin to realize time has run out. Gas floods into the force ages knocking them out in order to prepare them for the Academy.
