She has a lithe, but athletic frame with a slender figure. Her long orange hair drapes down past the middle of her back to just above her butt. The girl's eyes are a striking shade of yellowish-green, often drawing attention from her other features. She has a noticeable scar that starts in the middle of her abdomen and goes sharply upward at an angle. Her typical attire is the standard Ashford Academy girl's uniform made up of a light yellow jacket with gold trims and black cuffs, a white long sleeved shirt, a dark green tie with the Ashford logo, a short black skirt, and black shoes with black knee socks. Even during time off from school she wears the uniform, only changing out of it when it would be inconvenient for her to be seen in it. When out and about doing her 'job' Shirley dresses in *describe Invisible Knights outfit here*
Personality Traits

Willful
Vengeful
Emotionally deadened
Deceitful regarding her real feelings

Biography

When Shirley was ten years old her life was more or less idyllic. Though a mere commoner in the Empire of Britannia, her father and mother both worked well paying and respectable jobs. Shirley lived a good life where she had lots of friends, was doted on by her loving but busy father, and looked after by her mother who was around much more frequently. As a child Shirley didn’t know about the state of the world or just what the Holy Empire of Britannia did. The little girl didn’t have any reason to question her life or what she was told by her parents or in school. Even the Invasion of Japan by the Britannian military went largely unnoticed by the little girl whose concerns and thoughts centered around the people and things in her own life. Following the conquest of Japan, however, something unusual occurred. During one of the rare days when her father had time off work a strange man came to the door. When Shirley called for her father she was surprised that he didn’t know the stranger either. Barely saying anything the man gave Shirley’s father a simple envelope and left as suddenly and quickly as he came. As soon as her father opened the envelope, Shirley saw his face go pallid and his expression panicked. When she asked what was wrong he couldn’t answer. Eventually he told Shirley to stay in the house and left. Though she did what she was told Shirley couldn’t help but wonder what he had scene. Her curiosity didn’t win out, but as strange noises began to come from outside her fear soon did. Outside her home, strange uniformed men with guns began to spill out of trucks. They began to kick down doors, set fire to buildings, and eventually started shooting people. With her mother away on business and her father having left, Shirley was alone and left to watch the scene from one of the windows of her home. Fearful the men would come, Shirley slipped out the back and left to try and find her father. In just a matter of minutes the entire world seemed to have changed. The sky was a bright orange as fires burned, pillars of smoke spiraling up into the molten sky. Shirley’s once pristine neighborhood was littered with mangled cars, ransacked houses, and corpses littering the street to the point blood was running into the storm drains. Shirley was horrified, but as scared as she was to move forward she was even more scared of going back. Being small Shirley was able to hide under cars and in bushes, slowly making her way down the street and narrowly avoiding discovery by the armed men who still searched the neighborhood. Eventually Shirley found her father’s car in the middle of the road. From a distance she could see her father by the car, trying to get it to work. Resisting the urge to rush to him, Shirley carefully approached the car. She was on the other side of her father’s car when a loud gunshot range out. Panicked, she dropped to the ground and slide beneath the car to hide. Once under the car another gunshot rang out and she saw her father fall onto the asphalt. Shirley wanted to scream, wanted to cry and wail. However she was paralyzed by the sound of approaching footsteps. Shirley wasn’t able to look away when her father was shot several times and killed in front of her. Everything slowed down for Shirley. Seconds stretched into hours and her entire body numbed until she could hear the beating of her own heart. Then she heard a voice. One of the men, not five feet away, seemed to express uncertainty over why they were doing what they did. The other man chastised him and said something that would forever be burned into Shirley’s memory. “This is an order from the Emperor. No one may deny it.” Eventually the men left and the sounds of gunfire died out. Shirley remained under the car long after firefighters had arrived and emergency services began to flood the scene. She stayed there until she eventually passed out. When she awoke she was in a hospital with her mother by her side. Many people asked her questions, but Shirley wouldn’t answer them. Eventually she was released from the hospital and left with her mother. Since their home had been destroyed in the attack they had to move into a small, barely furnished apartment. It wasn’t long before Shirley returned to school and her mother returned to work. Shirley tried to go through the same motions she had before and pretend everything was fine. But the things that had made her happy before left her feeling nothing. Shirley couldn’t accept what had happened. It didn’t make sense. When someone did something wrong, there were consequences for their actions. Yet her father and so many other people had been killed...and nothing happened. Eventually Shirley made up her mind. She would kill the Emperor of Britannia. Of course she had no idea how to go about it. Growing up she began to get in trouble for acting out, doing things and going places where she wasn't permitted. Shirley got into fights trying to learn how to defend herself, how to hurt others. Gradually Shirley became something of a delinquent and infuriated her mother to no end. It wasn't long before she got involved with illegal activities and became a pilot for an illegal Knightmare racing ring that didn't care about age so much as...expendability. Shirley risked her life, gaining any experience or skill she could in the hopes that it would prepare her for what she wished to do. When she was 13 years old Shirley's mother remarried and took her daughter with her to Area-11. There Shirley was enrolled in the prestigious and orderly "Ashford Academy". As soon as Shirley arrived she started making trouble and looking for a way out. That was when she met a boy and a girl, Milly and Rivalz who changed something in her. At first Shirley hated the both of them. But as she began causing trouble, it became clear that the two sympathized with her. Eventually Shirley learned they had experiences not too unlike her own. They knew that the way things were was wrong and wished to do something about it. As Shirley grew closer to the two she built up the courage to ask them something that could easily ruin her life. In the middle of the night at just 14 years of age, Shirley asked the two to fight against Britannia with her. Their reaction wasn't what she thought it would be. Though hesitant the two eventually agreed. In secret the three began to work, using the basement of the school as their base and slowly figuring out just what they needed to do. Over the course of three years Shirley became a fully fledged resistance fighter, a terrorist in the eyes of her own homeland. Though her identity has remained a secret and Shirley has worked harder to put up the facade of a hapless teenage girl, deep feelings of hatred still writhe within her. Now Shirley grows frustrated at her perceived lack of progress, at her lack of power. Taking extreme measures Shirley hopes to make the first real step towards achieving her goal.

Goal

• To exact revenge on the Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire.

Skills & Abilities
• Knightmare Frame Piloting Experience: Though Shirley never received any formal training in the pilot or operation of Knightmare Frames she has experience using them. For a short time she rode in illegal Knightmare Races using civilian model MR-1s and Prytwens while living in Britannia. Though not involving combat (directly) the races were dangerous and often lethal. Shirley's survival in the races gave her valuable experience. Over the three years she has been with the Invisible Knights has operated Knightmare Frames frequently and used what was available to participate in resistance operations against Britannian military forces. Though not up to a professional standard, Shirley's abilities are formidable and made only more so by her willingness to risk her life. • Small Arms Proficiency: Again, nothing resembling formal training. Shirley however found ways to get a hold of old firearms when she was younger and practiced shooting when she could get away with it. During her three years fighting with the Invisible Knights she has become more familiar with pistols, SMGs, and other small firearms. Though she's better suited to fighting in a Knightmare Frame she's quick with a gun. • CQC: Shirley made it a point to learn as much as she could fighting with her bare hands. Her early years of trying to do so were crude and mainly involved getting into fist fights. She learned pretty quickly that she couldn't rely on raw strength to win any fights. As she got older and began to get involved with illegal activities, Shirley began to carry a knife with her. As of 2017 she's gotten very good with knives and always carries a Butterfly Knife hidden somewhere on her person. • Swimming and Diving: Shirley has been on the girl's swim team of Ashford Academy since she was a freshmen. Doing so has helped to keep her in good physical condition and has had the added benefit of making her a damn good swimming. Treading water for long periods of time, diving, and swimming quickly have become second nature to Shirley. This experience, combined with her Knightmare proficiency, gives her a chance in marine or underwater based combat. • Basic Maintenance: While not mechanically inclined, Shirley has picked up enough about Knightmare Frames to perform rudimentary repairs and maintenance. Though the already jury rigged and hacked together nature of most of the machines she pilots only machines this otherwise simple task all the more difficult. • Cooking...?: Shirley shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a stove or anything involving the preparation of food. Doing so will result in the slow, agonizing loss of human life.
Starting Knightmare Frame
