[indent]Nate isn’t the kind of person that everyone meets in their life. He doesn’t fit into just one circle. He’s an artist, a romantic (hopelessly so), he also plays sports. Nate is overtly friendly, will hug someone if he feels they need it, doesn’t mind giving someone a high five upon meeting them. Whether or not these gestures of friendship are well-received remains to be decided, but he’ll do them regardless (sometimes to himself so he doesn’t feel excluded). Truth be told, he’s weird like that but only because it covers up not wanting to be left alone nor hanging. He wouldn’t want to be left hanging so he doesn’t do it either. 

He’s very introspective and wears his heart on his sleeve. Some might say that leaves him open to being taken advantage of, but to him, it's just Nathan Blake being as authentic as he possibly could. He smokes a lot of weed, so he’s mostly chill and laid back, which might open him up for a lot of companionships of varying kinds. As someone who is down to do whatever as long as it’s not going to require a lot of activity on his part, Nate is down for it. Though be warned! Nate can tend to be just a tad obnoxious and hard to deal with, especially if someone might take life or the actions of others a lot more seriously than they should.[/indent]

[indent]Harvey Nathaniel Blake III comes from a long line of military men and women with at least 90% of his family on both sides having served in one branch of the military, whether its army, navy, or marines. So, one might understand that his upbringing came with a certain amount of rigid law and order. Having spent most of his childhood throughout the world due to his father being shipped all around the world, he never found himself able to make friends long enough for it to matter. His father serves with the U.S. Army and, though his mother no longer serves, she used to be with the Army as well as a field medic.

Now, as they have been in Columbus, Ohio for nearly three years, Nathan has been able to make friends. At some point during his life, his parents drifted apart and Nathan lives in a two-bedroom house with his mother, Fiona and younger sister, Patricia. 

His father still serves so even though his parents spit up and divorced, he rarely gets to see his father. Fiona is a nurse so she works a lot, which makes Nate the man of the house (literally), which puts a lot of pressure on him and has even gotten to the point where Trish had to grow up a bit too. Despite being three years younger than him, Trish has been the “adult”, what with Nate being too high to function sometimes and their mother being away at work most of the time. Nate, of course, did his part but only he could do so much. Luckily for him and his sister, they lived close to corner markets and there was a high school near their house, so anything they needed was within walking distance. [/indent]

✋ Nate has this thing where he will constantly refer to himself as great, sometimes going as far as to call himself "Nate the Great" to either build himself if people are clowning on him or just to make himself feel better if something bad happens.

✋ Nate is prone to spontaneous high fives and or hugs. What this means is he'll hug or high five someone. Should they deny him, he'll do it to himself. Never leave a bro hanging.

✋ Despite his build, he is actually quite athletic and plays sports. His three are soccer, football, baseball in which he has the goalie, backup runningback, and catcher positions respectfully.

✋ You might as well call him a stoner too because he smokes -- or eats, he doesn't care -- a lot of weed. He does it so he can cope with his anxiety and stress at home (nothing major just usual teenager stuff).

✋ Nate isn't a professional photographer nor does he have the skills of that Alex kid, but he loves taking pictures and regularly takes selfies of himself and others. His favorite thing is to photobomb, although other people are probably not as much of a fan of it he is. #saycheese

✋ Due to his strained relationship with his father and general lack of respect for authority, Nate regularly breaks rules, which only enhances his need to go on wild adventures. That being said, he does try to follow at least [i]some[/i] rules ...so that he can break them the next time around. #multitaskingftw

✋ Rainy days. They are a huge damper on his good vibes, which he loves so much!
