[@Metastability] Yeah, 90mph sounds a bit much, that's more than anyone can reasonably dodge. 

Also, I think Heart meant that if he used all nine chains at once, the length of each would be just under 3m - otherwise he'd only be able to use eight, if the length decreased by three each time. Going with Heart's suggestion, or decreasing by 2m each time, would be fine though!
