Devin gave a happy smile and wave to Harper that quickly dissipated when Mia shot him a look. Though it had now been months the previous lover was still feeling jaded for possibly obvious reasons. Still Devin was sure it would finally blow over at some point so he figured it best to be left alone. As quick as they could Dan and Devin got their things together and began to pack up to take their lunch with Harper. They all met down at the building entrance. Devin had decided they would hit up one of his favorite Thai restaurants which he hadn’t been to in over a month. The hankering for some drunken noodles was strong in his tummy and the only way to squash it was by pleasing the food gods with sacrifice. Walking with his arm over Harpers shoulders and Dan to his right Devin had the trio walking in a wonderful New York City spring day. The weather was perfect for his light suit and tie look with the rest of the group equally happy with the ambient temperature. Cutting through a small square with a park Devin couldn’t help but just say “I love this city…” “Course it is the underbelly that really has character. How is organized crimes and vice working out for you Harper?” Devin said.
