REX

”Yes ma’am”

Having received the forgiveness of Sophie, Rex’s eyes lit up immediately. Once again the robust Hundi stood tall, filling up at least the space of at least two normal adventurers in front of the quest board. A wide smile packed his mighty jaw, and any remaining semblance of the previously miserable Hundi vanished into thin air.

Feeling the clasp of someone’s hand on his back, Rex looked over his shoulder to glimpse the rank six sword. Unlike Rex, who was instantly recognizable as novice, Sieglinde was much more orderly and looked like an experienced fighter. He nodded in her direction where he saw Tristam, Cassia, and Finn gathered in conversation. The four of them were each ranked higher than Rex, and they seemed to be speaking of fighting orcs. Admittedly, Rex’s strengths -- well, strength -- made that particular job a great match up for himself; but the argonaut in Rex kept coming back to the other posting they discussed. Nehir, while a little misguided as to what Rex was actually good at, had hit the nail on the head by suggesting the Haesting mission. The mystery surrounding the posting was enough to sire Rex’s boyish curiosity, while the search for missing people appealed to his strong sense of justice. If he were able to choose for himself, then the Haesting mission would’ve absolutely been it.

Though, all thoughts of where his next work would come from perished when Ifrari mentioned the prospect of a party. Within a second Rex had turned to face him, standing at attention with his tail wagging back and forth. Both the words of encouragement and Ifrari’s willingness to partner with him had caused Rex to beam with excitement. The dark elf was admittedly unfamiliar to Rex, he barely even knew his name from their passing encounters at the guildhall, but Rex was elated regardless.

”I give everything a hundred percent effort! Let's do it!” He bellowed, his tail almost generating somewhat of a draft around him as it whipped back and forth. Rex eagerly stood in wait, expecting Ifrari to continue by announcing which mission he wanted to take. It came much to his surprise, then, when he turned away from the board to Rex and asked his opinion.

”Huh? What I want to do? I, uh, usually don't choose...” He thought back to the Haesting mission, and continued. ”Well, I think I want to head to Haesting Road and do a thing about them disappearances.”

After he said this, he returned to facing Sophie; nodding his head with Ifrari’s suggestion. ”Yeah! I’m real strengthy, other parties tell me I’m good at carrying their things on foot!” Rex boasted this far prouder than he should’ve, given the connotation. ”Let me help you on a mission. Then we'll be even!”
[@VitaVitaAR][@SilverPaw]
