"Come on Kai... Like I'm the only Saiyan that 'gets cocky' now and again," Takeshi said, pulling his shirt down over his head. Taking a look down at himself he smiled slightly, seeing this outfit was awfully reminiscent of what Vegeta wore. He missed his old Gi outfit, maybe he could get another one once they finally returned home. If nothing else though these were at least comfortable, and easy to move in. Tugging the gloves on his hands just for good measure he smiled at Kai, raising an eyebrow and folding his arms across his chest. "If you want to fight so bad I can always trip the alarm to get the soldiers to come running. Oooor... We can always spar later? I'm in the same boat, I just want a good brawl to keep myself practiced." "How about we find this monster, then you two can kick the crap out of each other all you want." Kabocha wanted to fight too, not sit around like old maids chattering amongst themselves. If this thing was half the beast the engineers made it out to be then they'd have a fun time fighting it, he didn't want to miss out on a moment of that. In regards to Kai's question he shook his head, scratching at his hair in thought. "I couldn't say... Maybe the mess hall? I doubt an animal would kill just for sport, so it's got to be looking for food. If it couldn't find a meal in the crew then maybe it went for the cafe? There's got to be something there, and even if it didn't go there..." he paused, grinning as he rubbed his hands together. "I could REALLY go for some ribs! Or some fried fish! Or maybe a nice big sandwich!" Takeshi smacked his own forehead, giving Kabocha an exasperated look before walking past him and the twins, right out of the room for them to follow. They were all hungry obviously, but they couldn't well eat just yet. His changing clothes was distraction enough, and all joking aside they really needed to find this thing. They had passengers that really couldn't fight if it showed up elsewhere, so it was in everyone's best interest they deal with it as soon as possible. As Kai had brought up, where did they even begin to look? Takeshi certainly didn't know the layout of this ship, and even if he did that didn't guarantee their finding the monster. Back in the corridor he scratched at his head thoughtfully, looking in the direction of the control room and back down the other way. Safe bet was they didn't have to backtrack, so down the unexplored section it was. Gesturing for the others to follow he started down the corridor, keeping silent and alert for any hints of something being amiss. Yumi couldn't well imagine having someone like that, someone she could communicate with so effortlessly. It was kind of creepy really, having someone read your thoughts and motions. In the same way it was incredible, it would make her so much better in a battle. After having seen them fight first hand herself she knew they were rather formidable as a pair, and any single combatant would be hard pressed to beat them. She herself was by no means an all powerful opponent, but she was an able enough fighter and yet had still struggled just to keep up with them. Their prowess was so impressive it was a wonder that they had been pulled from training. Had they never been taken out of it and allowed to keep practicing she couldn't imagine their being anything less than Elites by now. For the sake of their budding friendship it was a good thing then they'd been removed, otherwise Kai and Choi would probably end up just like the other Elites they had fought. Frankly it would be a darn shame if they never ended up as friends. "So he's kind of a goofball then...? Oh, but he seems really nice too..." Yumi mused, smiling sheepishly. In spite of their first meeting she and Choi had gotten on rather well, almost instant friends. Kai was certainly nice too, but they didn't feel nearly as close as she did with his brother. She and Choi had kind of clicked almost instantly, and she couldn't quite place why that was. Maybe his goofy nature offset her more strict overtone? Noting the smile on Daiko's face she blinked a few times, and after drawing an assumption her face reddened in embarrassment. "I-I was just asking because I was curious!" she said quickly, putting her hands up defensively and shaking her head. "He and I are friends, so I wanted to know more about him, that's all!" Well this was a fine mess she had walked herself into. It had come across as too blatant, was that it? Perhaps asking their father about one boy in particular was too transparent of a move. Looking down at her feet awkwardly Yumi shifted about in her spot, rubbing her hands against her pant legs nervously. "Uh... Don't say anything to him? Please? If my friend Vegeta found out or if he did it'd make things really weird..." The Saiyan proved to be a little too quick to reach, and while the creature was quick in its own right it could not take to the air. The Beastman seemed to share in that deficiency however, making him an ideal prey to chase. Changing its target instantly then the monster let out another roar, barreling down on Viral with all its strength and taking swings to try and take him down and finally get a meal. Its first arm was blocked, but the second managed to knock into the wild man and send him stumbling. Before it could capitalize on its hit Viral was already retorting, coming back with a few fierce swings of his cleaver. The first two missed, but a third one managed to catch itself in the creature's left arm, imbedding itself deep into the muscle of the beast. Roaring out in anger and pain it reeled back, shaking its hulking frame and freeing the blade of itself. The Saiyan was out of reach, and this one was dangerous, neither would be an easy meal. It had to find a way to overpower them, something that could reduce them to a state of helplessness. Putting all fours down again it opened its gaping maw, nothing but darkness where its teeth should be. A small energy mass began to form at its lips, gradually gaining in size, a rainbow of colors amassing into a basketball sized orb before being fired at high speeds. Vegeta descended the moment he saw energy gathering, worried that Viral didn't have the means to deflect that kind of attack. Planting himself before his friend as the orb came their way he stretched his arms forward and cupped his hands, readying to catch the blast. As soon as it hit there was surprising force behind the blast, sending him skidding back towards Viral in spite of his efforts to hold it back. With no other way to stop it he released a burst of Ki, sending it flying back towards the monster, both energies hitting it head on. The result was a fair explosion that shook the room, miraculously not causing any damage in the process. As the smoke dissipated Vegeta expected to see a ruined beast before them, but instead there was nothing but scorched and twisted metal. Where in the hell did it go? Looking around the room hastily and up at the ceiling he tried to find it, slowly stepping away from Viral with his hands up, ready to strike. How did it vanish like that? Unbeknownst to Vegeta the creature was most certainly still inside of the room. It was out of sight though, as far as the Saiyan could tell anyways. In truth it had melted down into a rather thin liquid, seeping its very being into the metal that the two fighters now stood on. Slipping through the floor it worked its way over to Viral again, hoping to get a surprise on the Beastman and injure him enough to put him out of the battle. Stopping right beneath Viral the beast slowly lifted its head out of the floor behind him, growling softly as it did so. Just as its head rose up it would also raise its arms out of the floor to either side of the Beastman and attempt to ensnare him, trapping him against the floor. Then he would be at the creature's mercy, and it could easily bite away until it finished him off.
