Blake wished that these girls would stop asking the scientist questions, at least for now. His answers seemed to progressively get more disturbing with every new question, and as Blake was cutting into his steak, Vlad's last response caused the hand holding his knife to quiver slightly. The boy hoped he had realized and caught himself before anyone noticed. They were the only ones who had survived? How many had there been? He suddenly had that question on the tip of his own tongue, but the scientist had proceeded to leave the area. Perhaps it would be best if he did not know the answer to it. Once Vlad was gone, Blake let out a sigh and was about to go on with his meal when the dark-haired girl propped herself onto the table to look over at him and Blair. He glanced up at her with an awkward "Excuse you," look, and listened to what she had to say. He turned briefly to Blair to see how she was taking it before nodding and turning his attention back to his food as he responded. "Classic. Do what you want," he muttered, and then chucked a cube of meat into his mouth. As he chewed it, however, he recognized that leaving it at that could be rather dangerous, and felt the need to add to it. "Just leave me out of whatever it might be." [@Always] [@KatherinWinter]
