She remained silent and ate until she couldn't anymore. Due to prolonged abuse, neglect and starvation, Artemis couldn't eat half as much as she wanted to. When Myra took her hand to lead her out to their room, Artemis felt slightly queasy and relieved to leave the kitchen. The smells of everything was driving her mad. She felt her stomach grumble and growled at it in her mind. All she wished to do now was fall asleep underwater. It would bring her the most comfort and she would feel safe. Being in the castle was driving her up a wall. Upon arriving in the room, she found herself shocked to see Darius passed out on the bed. Not only that, but his hair color had changed. She furrowed her brows. While she hadn't met a human before, she knew hair color changes weren't part of their abilities. She bit her lip and examined how exhausted he looked. The only visible change thus far was his hair. Next, she watched as Myra tried to gently push him and let out a deep sigh. That would surely wake him. "Myra sweetheart, please be careful - I don't want to wake him." Her voice was soft. Artemis sighed and felt the soft bed. For a moment, her mind began to reel back to her old home underwater. Tears briefly formed in her eyes but she blinked them away quickly. Knowing the situation was likely futile and Darius would wake up anyway, she carefully sat on the edge of the bed to relieve Myra's likely concern, then moved to sit on a chair instead. Her gaze was locked on Darius. She gently fixed the silky dress around her and fixed a coat over it as well. Something was wrong, but she wasn't certain what yet. Time would certainly tell.
