She can accelerate or slow the heart rate but not by [i]will[/i]. Her right eye accelerates the victims heart rate while the left eye slows it down. The effects normally last for about 5 minutes but will last longer if the target is attracted to the user. However, the victim needs to make eye contact with Love so that she can inflict the quirk on the target. ♥ To undo her quirk, Love blinks. ♥ The quirk's downside would be how it causes her to be anemic so she's normally weak and tired constantly. She's normally seen with carrot juice(she hates it).[/color][/SUP] [color=#ffe0bd]-[/color][/indent][/hider] With a hero suit resembling a party outfit and Iolani Love's quirk involving with [i]winking[/i], she came to the conclusion of a pretty, blue, flowy dress that wouldn't constrict her movements. Her legs free from any clothing, Love is seen to not wear any goggles and her hair in an updo. Wearing a pair of blue boots that are light on her feet, Love is able to freely move her body and be on her toes(also because she's anemic Love doesn't want to be any more of a burden than what she already believes herself to be so she always want's to be out of reach in battles) and, honestly, she thought it would be pretty. Also because she believed it'd up her chances at using the quirk for longer. [/cell][cell][b][sub]D E T A I L E D A P P E A R A N C E[/sub][/b] [color=#807B84][indent]Dark complexion with star splattered freckles across her face, Iolani Love has bright brown eyes with fluffy pink hair that flows with each of her movements. Standing roughly at 5'2", Love's hair falls roughly on her hips, a soft feel--just like what is thought to be a clouds texture--that tends to be what everyone's eyes fall on when they see the young girl. Besides her hair being the main focus on first impressions, it's mostly noted that Iolani is perceived as an awkward quiet girl. Her brown eyes--followed with her long, wispy lashes--tend to flicker to anything that isn't the person in front of her. Which comes after the wrinkle to her bushy, usually upturned, eyebrows. Her freckles then trails alongside her nose to her cheeks, being of a galaxy of stars(they are of a proliferation of stars scattered about. Like a star-map, detailing the connections of each constellation). She has trouble connecting and opening up to others mainly because she feels as if she's a disappointment and a burden to those that breath the same air as her. While she's imbued with a sense of self-deprecation, Iolani can have her spark of confidence at times. Such as, feeling pretty in an outfit and finding her self-worth with her quirk(that she believes is lousy). Love is the epitome of a brooding, awkward, quiet girl. Despite her tendency to wallow in pessimistic thoughts, Love is emotional and able to sympathize with other's immediately. Resulting in a lot of people coming to her to just speak of their problems and not feel judged. Love gives people a sense of acceptance by her aura(although she counters this with how she's a panicky person so what they say can't be true). [/color][/INDENT] [color=#2e2c2c]---[/color][b][sub]B I O G R A P H Y[/sub][/b] [color=#807B84][INDENT] "Iolani." Her brother whispered, "the 'Hawk of Royalty.'" Love shut her eyes. That was Iolani's favorite method. Her younger(quirkless) brother would cradle her in his arms, and tell her the importance of Love's name. How [i]important[/i] she was. She believed this to be wrong. Iolani Love grew up in a household that was confusing in the eyes of others. Her mother, who was injured during a battle, suddenly changed one day. She arrived home, with bandages wrapping her body and scars that scratched itself on to her mother's skin--and, suddenly hit the big eyed girl(Iolani). Love grew up admiring both her mother and father, as they were the epitome of heroes. She'd sit crossed legged on the sand, the particles tickling her toes, while listening to the stories her mother and father would bring. Her brother sitting beside her while the waves gave them a background tune. They'd laugh in joy, they'd scream in terror, and they'd weep in sadness with the stories that spilled from their parents. Under the night, star twinkled sky, Iolani Love enjoyed the memories of what was once her happy family. Her brother, being the youngest, was mostly forced to play outside by Iolani because she'd rather herself get the most hits than him. Someone from their family had to be the one to get out, and that was him. But, when it'd just get [i]too difficult[/i]--[i]too tiring[/i]--Iolani and her brother would runaway to the beach nearby and lay down, listening to the waves that lullabies them to sleep. (the ocean was their second home) Her mother had a mission of capturing a villain but a she slipped up and, for the first time in her mother's life, she witnessed the true meaning of what a failure meant. She caused the whole mission to fail and the villain got away, [i]scotch free[/i]. Fueled with anger, with desperation of the need to be accepted--to be seen as righteous, Love's mother took out all her pent up emotion out on her two children(but mainly Iolani). Her sense of justice reigned over everything, controlling all aspects of her mother; she believed that anything she did was correct, just anything to overwrite the one mission(in all her hero's time)that caused her to fail. She repeatedly told Iolani her name meant nothing. That her weak, eldest daughter shouldn't bear such a name that meant of royalty. And, over time, Love believed it. (there was a part of her that fought it-- --my brother doesn't believe that I'm a failure! So why should I! --But her mother's loud, bile, words, told her otherwise.) Her father, for the most part, [i]tried[/i] his best to stop the attacks. But as time went by, he busied himself with work and ignored the two--running away from dealing with the problem at hand. Iolani Love, felt no anger for his decision. No hatred towards her mother. Her brother on the other hand, bared distaste to both his parents(he no longer categorized them as parents but as strangers). But there was no denying that Iolani, wanted out. Thus, she auditioned for UA. (when the results came in her mother held up a smug--[i]I told you so[/i]--look while she watched the young girl quiver, Iolani wanted to swim with the waves that night.) Her second option was [i]New Heights Academy[/i], which the only reason she even went was of her brother's constant nagging(she was wallowing in her pessimistic thoughts after UA's results). When it came in that she passed--although as the lowest--Iolani Love, felt for the first time in life, she won against her mother. But, lost against her father. Leaving home, leaving her brother behind with her mother(just like her father did), Iolani felt disgusted that she herself, felt a sense of relief when she left. "Iolani" She whispered, "The 'Hawk Of Royalty.'" Love reopened her eyes. [/INDENT][/color] [color=#2e2c2c]---[/color][b][sub]E X A M R E P O R T[/sub][/b] Iolani Love was worried and panicked throughout the whole exam, her mind buried with self-doubt. At the start of the exam, Love was seen in a corner, knees to her chest while she regretted her decision to even have come to the school to audition. She felt weak and helpless and believed her quirk gave her no help with the situation at hand. But, when her head lifted upwards because she heard a small yell, Iolani had an idea that quickly popped into her head. She bounced on her toes and Love was seen snatching ribbons from the other students [I]and[/I] thinking ahead by stopping some in their paths to quickly reach for a ribbon.
