Oh hai there, first and foremost, thanks for stopping by. What I have is a rough concept, but figured I’d throw it out there and see if it garners any interest. If so, we could flesh it out some more. Anyway, here it is: So, I was thinking about a world (in a modern setting), where demons suddenly appear. In the beginning, (of course) casualties were through the roof because there was no effective defense against these monsters. Over time, weapons were produced, which could be used to fight against the demons. Thus, ushering in the era of “Hunters”. Despite these weapons there’s only so much they could do. They are only human, after all. Fast forward and this is where our characters come in. Eventually, an organization gets the idea to start tinkering with genetics, with hopes of creating more effective weapons (using samples acquired by captured or slain demons). Though, it’s not easy to gather willing subjects, to become lab rats; especially when there’s a high mortality rate. The organization needed somewhere they could gather the perfect test subjects; people that could disappear and nobody would care. That place was orphanages. And yeah... so our characters would, essentially, be those orphans-turned-weapons that managed to survive genetic mutation. What do y’all think?
