Lucien had spent the next few hours watchful. When they had reached the next town, he had gotten up to stretch his legs, and paced for a little while before looking through their food stock to see what he could offer the girl upon awakening. He wasn't sure if he had time to prepare anything, so it was probably best to wait for Faolan to return with food. He settled with jerky, before taking his seat again and continuing to wait. Aurel didn't say much, not wanting to end up startling the girl for any reason if she awoke. Lucien glanced down as he heard a small moan, a signal that the girl had awakened. He straightened up, and allowed the girl some time to register her surroundings. It was when she had reached up to touch the cloth that she had made eye contact with him. Immediately he noticed her tense, though weakly, and attempt to shift to move away from him. He raised his hands ever so slightly to show her he had no plans of touching her. "Hey.. it's alright. You're safe, I'm not going to hurt you." He tried to reassure her, his tone gentle. "You're dehydrated, please have some water, it's nice and cool." He told her, extending the water in her direction. Aurel had immediately peeked behind the seat when he heard Lucien begin to talk to the girl. He wasn't so obvious that she would notice her, but it was just enough to see what was happening. He hoped that the girl wouldn't have too negative of a reaction to Lucien. He knew firsthand what the fear of strangers was like... but there had always been something about Lucien that had made him feel at ease.
